  1. I guess it would come down to what kind of ethics you have and what you want to teach your children about theft. Only you know that.

I personally would buy 2 packages but was curious how they would know. We have never purchased drink packages before because we don't drink soda or alcohol. We typically stay in suites so we get a drink or two in the lounge or at the special events which is just enough for us, although I guess you could say we did pay for the drinks in the price of the suite. Just reading the description of the package makes me wonder how they would prevent something like that from happening.

  2. We go in June too and have been looking for a map too. We are thinking about renting a beach bed or bungalow. I think we may just rent it and then worry about where it is later. Especially since you pick the placement once you are on board.

  3. We are going in June as a family of 4. My kids will be 18 and 15, I have researched several options, many of the sleep, park, cruise packages only include breakfast and shuttle for 2, so we would have to pay extra. One of the outside parking lots offers free parking but you pay per person for the shuttle, we are going for 4 nights (parking for 5 days) so its $85 to park or $80 for the shuttle. I will gladly spend the extra $5 to have the convenience of parking at the port. I was able to get a great deal on a hotel, with the room and parking at the port we come in around about the same as the Radison with parking and their shuttle, and about the same or less than some of the other hotels. Do your research and do what's best for you. For a longer cruise or less than 4 people it might make more sense to do something other than the port.

  4. IKR our TA said there is not much available for our date. My ds wanted to go on a cruise for graduation and picked the ship. It's about 2 weeks after, my dd dances and her recital is June 15, so it's the earliest we could go. We've never been to Nassau so we are exploring all our options.

  5. I had read that it was private, but just not sure how small the setting would be with 4 ships in pirt that day. Also was not sure how far away it is because that would factor in to sightseeing. We have not been to Nassau, and the trip is for my DS graduation and he wants to sight see. We will have already had a sea day and with Cococay definitely being a beach day, he wasn't sure what he wanted to do.

We've got plenty of time to think about it and your info is helpful as well. Thanks so much!

  6. That's what I wanted to hear. We haven't been to Nassau and want to do sightseeing and we're concerned that the stingray excursion would really cut into sightseeing time. I like the idea that it's a more intimate setting at the private island.

Thanks! And I loved your cruise review.

  7. Has anyone done either of these? We are thinking about doing this with our teens. DH and I swam with stingrays in Grand Caymen with private tour and loved it. We aren't sure how busy/popular this attraction is in these locations. 4 ships in port in Nassau but excursion is through TA. Only 1 ship in Cococay.

    TIA

  8. Days Inn, Best Western, La Quinta on Atlantic, and one other. If you search my posts I have the links and where to look for the deal. The La Quinta also has a rate for leaving your car there and taking their free shuttle.

  9. We took a Dolphin cruise for our honemoon. I think it was the Oceanbreeze, it left from Aruba. We had a little cabin with a porthole for a window and it was located at the bow. I remember waking up when we got to Bonaire because they drop the anchor and all we heard was the clancking of the chain. We sat straight up in bed thinking the boat had ran a ground. We had a great time and always wanted to go again but never had the time or money. We are going on a cruise this December to celebrate our 20th anniversary but this time we've got a suite on the top floor, huge difference.
