  1. I found an article from 2020 that has nothing to do with Haiti but does say the following about Level 4 travel advisories that were in effect because of COVID:

Most travel medical insurance plans will exclude any coverage if you enter into a Level Four Advisory Country,” says P.K. Rao, president of INF Visitor Insurance. Since all countries are currently categorized at Level 4, that makes crossing any international border a risk, but it depends on your plan. For some plans, Jeremy Murchland, president of Seven Corners insurance says, “It's possible the Level 4 travel advisory may affect only specific benefits,” such as not covering non-medical emergency evacuation.

If you actually read the travel advisory.. you would see this "Labadee, a port near Cap Haitien in the north - only accessible by cruise ship passengers - has private security and lower rates of reported crime. Travelers should exercise heightened precautions, however, due to increasing insecurity nationwide."

I don't see this in the present Do Not Travel warning that was updated on July 27th. Miloomar, where or when did you see it?

What happens to insurance if one needs it in a place where there is a state department "Do Not Travel" Advisory?

Did you try the forgot password option?  I got an alert last week when I tried to sign in that they had been compromised, so I closed my browser and went back in and changed it.

Thanks Sprocket. Yes, that is what I did, but now I have 2 ?accounts? with the same login and email address! The forgot my password led me to set a new password that automatically put in some of my husband's partial info and says I should now complete that registration.

When I used the other data breached password, with the same login and email, it still has my info, but how do I preserve my info while setting a new password for it?

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Is there a lot of movement in an aft balcony?  I've heard they are great and always wanted to try them.  I have family members who get motion sickness though.

Not at all for us. And I'm prone to motion sickness too. I brought dramamine and ginger with me but didn't need either of them.

  5. The ticketmaster analogy is interesting, but I don't think it holds over that well. Is ticketmaster building new stadiums or concert venues? Is it spending money to maintain the stadiums or venues and keep them actively running with the equivalent of crew members on them even as the money making events are cancelled? I don't see that much of the usual cruise industry costs have gone down as of yet... Except they are probably using a lot less toilet paper and food (although perhaps they have contracts for those they must still meet)?

  6. When we cancelled Sat 3/28, we were told 7--10 business days for the refund (no word yet). I asked for a cancellation confirmation by email but was told no, although I do have a confirmation number.

I had cancelled my pre-purchased excursions on 3/25 and received notification of those today, even though the receipts for those said within 30 days.

  7. The length of time and distance made it worth it to select the excursion from the ship when we did.  We took the one with snorkeling and loved it: Pitons Cruise & Snorkel (also 4 hours)

Cruise the rugged west coast of St. Lucia to its iconic geological landmarks, the Pitons. Thrill to the up-close sight of the two towering volcanic peaks that rise dramatically from the depths of the Caribbean. The crew anchors in a sheltered bay for snorkeling in calm, clear waters filled with colorful tropical fish and coral, and it's a short swim to reach a quiet beach.
