If you actually read the travel advisory.. you would see this "Labadee, a port near Cap Haitien in the north - only accessible by cruise ship passengers - has private security and lower rates of reported crime. Travelers should exercise heightened precautions, however, due to increasing insecurity nationwide."
I don't see this in the present Do Not Travel warning that was updated on July 27th. Miloomar, where or when did you see it?
What happens to insurance if one needs it in a place where there is a state department "Do Not Travel" Advisory?

I see numerous reports of:
U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson David Micallef said: "We can confirm the cruise ship was Harmony of the Seas. The Coast Guard is actively investigating Sunday’s cruise ship incursion and postponement of the SpaceX launch."

As much as I hate doing this myself I think a call to Princess is in order. Hoping they can fix the issues on their end and get you set up.
Thanks Sprocket!

Did you try the forgot password option? I got an alert last week when I tried to sign in that they had been compromised, so I closed my browser and went back in and changed it.
Thanks Sprocket. Yes, that is what I did, but now I have 2 ?accounts? with the same login and email address! The forgot my password led me to set a new password that automatically put in some of my husband's partial info and says I should now complete that registration.
When I used the other data breached password, with the same login and email, it still has my info, but how do I preserve my info while setting a new password for it?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Like others, I tried resetting from the need help method that billco recommended, and while that worked, once I went back in, my info was gone and replaced with partial info from my partner!

Sent the passport in towards the end of September and received notice today that it is on its way so a bit over 2 months total.

Sent my passport request in recently and will see how long it takes. Sorry to hear GE is taking so long for some of you. We renewed ours recently and those came back quickly.

Is there a lot of movement in an aft balcony? I've heard they are great and always wanted to try them. I have family members who get motion sickness though.
Not at all for us. And I'm prone to motion sickness too. I brought dramamine and ginger with me but didn't need either of them.

Last year we had an aft balcony and one morning it was clear enough and we could actually see far enough that the ship sailing away from us disappeared from the bottom up. Round earth + relaxing, amazing wake.

The ticketmaster analogy is interesting, but I don't think it holds over that well. Is ticketmaster building new stadiums or concert venues? Is it spending money to maintain the stadiums or venues and keep them actively running with the equivalent of crew members on them even as the money making events are cancelled? I don't see that much of the usual cruise industry costs have gone down as of yet... Except they are probably using a lot less toilet paper and food (although perhaps they have contracts for those they must still meet)?

When we were there last year we read that the cruise passengers don't need the nature tag.

Thanks. That was interesting. I agree about the title being misleading...

When we cancelled Sat 3/28, we were told 7--10 business days for the refund (no word yet). I asked for a cancellation confirmation by email but was told no, although I do have a confirmation number.
I had cancelled my pre-purchased excursions on 3/25 and received notification of those today, even though the receipts for those said within 30 days.

When booking you only need to enter name and birthdate. When checking in you enter passport or BC. There is no need to check in for a person you know is not going to sail. There is no need for anyone to check in as it can technically be done at the pier.
Thanks!

Interesting idea. How do you book a fictitious person when you need to put in a passport or similar for them?

Not on Explorer but on other ships. We did hear some noise from exercise classes one time and from them moving around equipment another. If you want to be sure of quiet, the fitness center isn't generally a great idea.

The length of time and distance made it worth it to select the excursion from the ship when we did. We took the one with snorkeling and loved it: Pitons Cruise & Snorkel (also 4 hours)
Cruise the rugged west coast of St. Lucia to its iconic geological landmarks, the Pitons. Thrill to the up-close sight of the two towering volcanic peaks that rise dramatically from the depths of the Caribbean. The crew anchors in a sheltered bay for snorkeling in calm, clear waters filled with colorful tropical fish and coral, and it's a short swim to reach a quiet beach.

On our Explorer of the Seas Cruise on Dec 13-22 a group of Doctor Who fans and celebrity guests were on board. We weren't a part of that group, but ran into some of them on the boat.

we really liked te amo beach for snorkeling.

RCLcruiser2012, being on an internal or external railing is not allowed on the boat. So quite similar, actually.
RCCL stopping in Labadee these days?

I found an article from 2020 that has nothing to do with Haiti but does say the following about Level 4 travel advisories that were in effect because of COVID:
Most travel medical insurance plans will exclude any coverage if you enter into a Level Four Advisory Country,” says P.K. Rao, president of INF Visitor Insurance. Since all countries are currently categorized at Level 4, that makes crossing any international border a risk, but it depends on your plan. For some plans, Jeremy Murchland, president of Seven Corners insurance says, “It's possible the Level 4 travel advisory may affect only specific benefits,” such as not covering non-medical emergency evacuation.
