  1. we were in a H5 on Prima in December.  The bathroom has a blow dryer that is inside drawer attached and plugged in with a fairly decent length of cord to dry your hair.  The plug situation was a little inconvenient for us as my husband brought his electric tooth brush and charger and electric shaver/charger.  As I recall, only one plug at pretty high on the wall so needed long cord and it was the two prong type....so had to plug his three prong in at another outlet in the bedroom/living room.

We received the first email where we had a link to fill out our cabin requests (booze selections for example) about 4 months prior to our sail date. We were in an H4 on the Prima. Our sail date was April 30, 2023. I received the email Dec 21, 2022. Everything was filled as requested and was waiting for us when we entered the cabin.

thank you HB...that's is what I read here on CC but looks like it is a hit and miss.  I'm hoping I will receive the letter.  Sometimes the Butlers (and understandably so) are very busy that first day.

  3. I checked out the current wine offerings posted by CTCruiser001 and put a price next to the ones they offered on that particular cruise each by the glass and by the bottle.  (with the premium plus package).

Looks like the bottle that you should be able to order with a dinner range from $35 to $99 per bottle.  i noticed that they no longer offer bottle Veuve Clicquot for dinner.  I guess just keep filling up my glass!

I hope this stands true for lunches??

  4. With the Premium plus their website today (as I just upgraded for upcoming cruise) shows per glass and/or you can order bottles that are above the $15 as listed (based on inventory).   We bring our favorite wines from home since we do not fly so have not tested them on it.  Will be on the Breakaway Haven soon and although we bring only Reds I do like a glass of of white with lunch so going to try and order a bottle of Santa Margherita that I believe is above the $15.

  5. We arrived around 9:15 (our appoint. was 9:30 to 10:00) and never heard any announcement but stood in the line where the "checkpoint" for documents etc.  Once we saw someone there, (which was less than 5 minutes) we got in the line, and went through security in less than 5 minutes.  We went straight to Haven check in  and received our keys and escorted to waiting room.  I believe we were on board around 1130 a.m.  All done without any hiccups.

  6. We were on the Breakaway in the Haven two weeks ago.  We brought 4 bottles of wine and carried them in a hand held bag for wine (free at our local grocery store).  We had early check in (9:30 am) and the bag went through security and there was no one that checked them in.  Before they changed the rules there was an employee at a desk at Security that tagged each bottle for corking fees.  We hand carried them to the Haven Restaurant and left them there.  At meals they were opened, poured and stored if not completely empty.  In our room there was a corkscrew.  No charges at all!

  7. I was on the Breakaway Haven last week.  This is a picture of the Haven Plus side of the Haven Bar Menu.  It shows the up charge if you do not have have upgraded drink package.  We were told if you have the Plus, you're only charged for Johnnie Walker Blue Label Connoisseur Collection with a 40% discount.  I believe they had everything in stock at the Haven Bar.  Talked to a non-haven guest the first day of cruise and said he was disappointed that no bar on the ship had Crown Royal and was told out of stock.

Sorry for picture sideways....don't know why

  8. Thank you so much for the time spent on your cruise keeping us "In The Know".  Will be on the ship in February for our first Oceania Cruise.  Can you say if they are doing any of the cooking classes on your cruise?   And if so, are they limiting the number of people attending?

  9. None of the ports were tender....There was no problem getting off the ship as we were at 40% occupancy rate.  When we departed and returned at every port we had to be wearing our masks.  We took a taxi in Cozumel and the driver was wearing a mask.  While outdoors at all the ports and eating and drinking there were NO masks.  While in port I never saw anyone wearing a mask on the ship nor was there any mention by crew to do so.  The crew were always wearing a mask correctly.  We wanted to take a picture of our favorite bartender and asked him to pull down for just a minute and he politely said NO as NCL policy.

  10. I too sailed November 24 and have not received a voucher.  I booked a future cruise on board but was told I would receive discount amount by e-mail to apply.  I called customer service yesterday an was on hold for 30 minutes.  They politely transferred me to someone who could handle situation but answering machine said person not available and the “mailbox” full and unable to leave message.  Does anyone have a different telephone number or a direct e-mail address.  I tried e-mailing from web site but kept getting an error.

  11. We were on the Epic B2B in January 2015. My husband went to the barber for a haircut as soon as we got on the ship. I don't remember the gentleman's name but his chair was the last one away from the entrance. My husband was so impressed with his haircut that on the last day of our cruise he went back in for a "trim". I don't remember how much $$. As stated above, the barber is aft on deck 7.

  12. The crew seemed to just "smile" and bear it. We were friendly with the crew and would "comment" how could parents just let their kids run around unsupervised (ages 5-10) night and day?? It was like the crews hands were tied. Maybe they reported it to their supervisor but nothing changed throughout the week.

On two different days in the AM I was in the Epic gym and watched the parents of these kids SMOKING and having coffee in the Haven pool area. On the second day there was a crew member in the gym cleaning and I pointed it out to him. He said that he couldn't say anything to the PAX because he could get in trouble if they complained. So he called his supervisor to handle it. But supervisor instructed him to politely tell PAX it was not allowed. So you can see it is not their job to correct.

We did complain to concierge at the end of the week and he also agreed about our complaints and informed us he had made a "report" to his superior. Looking back on the week, we should have complained until something was done.
