The carnival gift cards through Verizon are no longer available. I must have missed the email where they were doing away with Verizon Smart Rewards [emoji22][emoji22]
Where else can we find discounted Carnival gift cards?!

I just picked up two $500 gift cards, enough to pay off the cruise.
When I checked first thing this morning I only saw the $100, thanks for posting about the $500!

There are $100 gift cards available on Verizon's site now if you need some!

You need 5000 points and then $450 cash. The point "make up" the discounted portion.
Yes, I should have clarified! I used 5,000 points and paid $450 for $500 worth of gift cards [emoji846]

I used 5,000 points to buy 5, 100 gift cards. It should be the same for a $500 card.

when you increased you bid did the H7's look sold out? I am wondering if they are pulling rooms out once they know they have enough acceptable bids and just waiting til the week before before assigning them.
Before we changed our bids we did a mock booking to see what rooms were available. There were still a few left so we decided to increase our bid at the chance of getting one.
Both times we upgraded to the Haven it was within a few days of departure. I think they will hold out as long as they can before accepting bids to get the most money possible for the room.

There is a machine in the arcade but it was empty and unplugged on our 1/28 sailing.

We were on the 1/28 Escape sailing and just got off the ship today. We initially booked a mid-ship mini suite. Around 80 or so days out we received an email to place bids on the Haven suites. They give you the option to bid 2 categories above what you initially booked. We initially bid $500 per person for the H5, H6, and H7 suites. A week before the cruise we still hadn't heard anything so we upped our bids to $650 per person- we really wanted the Haven! 3 days before sailing we received confirmation our bid was accepted for the H7. It was an amazing trip!

Wow, I am surprised to hear that! I guess there are other factors in determining how the bids are awarded. We still have a few days before sailing- hopefully they'll get you upgraded as well!

We initially booked a midship mini suite and we bid $650 per person on the H6 (AFT) and the H7 (forward) suites. Our bid was in the poor range so we were excited to see it was accepted.

Yes, we are on the January 28th sailing on the Escape and received confirmation last night that our bid was accepted.

We placed our bids when we received the initial email about 80 days out from our sail date. Our bid was accepted last night for an H7. Counting down the days until we Escape [emoji846]

Maya Chan is absolutely wonderful! We go there whenever we port at Costa Maya. It is owned by wonderful people- they cook a delicious meal and the bar pours drinks all day long! There are paddle boards, kayaks, and floats to use.
You will not regret spending your day at Maya Chan.

It will depend on your wireless carrier. I have Verizon and I used my phone with no problem and no roaming charges. Since it's a US territory it was like I was in the states.

We just got off the Vista and Matt said he did not plan on going to Galveston with the ship. Not sure where he is going, but he doesn’t plan on going to Texas.
