  1. Three of us booked an inside room on the Prima.  We bid the minimum on a balcony which was $120 x 2.  But now prices have gone down enough that I can just get the balcony for the 3 of us for about $100 total.  Is that allowed inside of the 90 days since it still is more money for NCL and since Balcony rooms are still available??

Or even is it a posibility to switch 1 person to a studio and the other 2 stay in an inside or go to the balcony if we can get them close together.  I would think that is allowed too if the total price is more?  But maybe that isn't true

  2. Even more confused now than when I posted this.  I did an on-line chat with NCL last night who told me it was 120 days even though it was a 5 day cruise.  But she also told me because we were a party of 5 I would never be allowed to make them on line anyways and that I would have to make them on board.  And I know that isn't true because last time we just made the reservations for 6 since that is all the online system allows you to do.  But then she also told me that the reservation system for the PRIMA had a glitch and that was my problem.  Guess I am going to have to check every damn day....ugh!!

  3. Is NCL still testing twice while on the ship or was that only the week after the Breakaway had the positive cases?  We are on the January 23rd sailing and have our testing scheduled at the port but just wondering if we will also get tested during the cruise.

  4. Mega Mart requires a prescription to get any drugs.  Not sure why when no other pharmacies have that requirement.  I usually get a few bottles of Amoxicillian but could not get it at Mega Mart.

  5. Last time we were there Tropicante had 2 massage tables going.  But there is new ownership so I am unsure.  They do have a website so you could easily email and ask.  It is a beautiful location not too far from the port and food and drink is pay as you go.

  6. In Costa Maya we went to Tropicante last time we were there.  Short cab ride and is PAYG.  The previous American owner sold to one of his staff and they are open again.  You can find their facebook page and message them to reserve chairs for no charge.

In Cozumel we like Money Bar.  There isn't a sandy beach but there is an entrance to the water and really good snorkeling right out front.  They even have snorkel equipment you can rent for cheap.  The food and beverages are all PAYG.  Food is really good and we can't wait to go back in January.

  7. I would say to check out some of these

    Cafe Du Monde for beignets

Central Market for a Muffaletta and head over to Jackson Square to eat it

Lafitte's Blacksmith-which is an old historic bar on Bourbon St

Take a Street Car west on St Charles-get off close to 4th or 5th street and head south to Lafayette Cemetery 1-sounds weird but tons of history in there and there are usually guides outside who walk around and tell you the history-above ground tombs are really cool

Schedule a bicycle tour through the Garden District

    French Market

    Pat O'Briens for hurricane

  8. So needless to say I am super confused by the CRUISE FIRST part of the offer.  I have an existing cruise booked for January 23rd.  I have not yet made my final payment.  I have talked to NCL a few times but get conficting information so decided to post here instead.

If I pay the $250 required will I then have $500 in my Latitudes account to put towards my January cruise?  Or is there way more to this than I am realizing?

I have been told I have to cancel and rebook.  I have been told I don't have to cancel and rebook.  I have been told it is only for certain cruises but no one can tell me what those cruises are.  I have been told that the cruise has to be further out than when ours is.

    Help.

  9. Take a cab to THE MONEY BAR BEACH CLUB.   There are so many options.  You can sit in a lounger in the sand.  You can rent snorkel equipment and walk into the water and snorkel.  There is an open air thatched roof bar/restaurant.  And you can even get a massage.  All of it is pay as you go and the food was wonderful.

  10. I just saw on NCL's FAQ's that they offer luggage storage post cruise for $25 for up to 4 bags and $5 for each additional bag.  And it also appears they take the luggage to the airport.  Assuming if it is still on their site it is still an option??  I know the Breakaway isn't in New Orleans yet but just wondering if anyone has done it lately in a different location.

What about luggage storage and delivery?

Services are available to store your luggage at the following ports.

    Port Price Details
    Barcelona 9,90€ per bag
Venice 4,00€ per piece of luggage Luggage must be collected before ship’s sailing when the luggage deposit closes
Copenhagen and Civitavecchia n/a Luggage storage is not available
Tampa $7 USD for 2 guests (up to 4 bags)
    $10 USD for 3 guests

New Orleans $25 USD for the first four (4) pieces of luggage
$5 USD for each additional piece.
All luggage within an order must have matching names. Oversized/overweight items may incur an additional fee. Service include delivery to airport.
Seattle $3.50 USD per bag Must be picked up by 3pm
Vancouver $7.50 USD per bag Luggage storage is only offered at Canada Place.
Los Angeles n/a Luggage storage is not available
Hawaii $5.00 USD per bag Luggage storage is located in the terminal from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. (For terminal security purposes, we are unable to accept bags after 10 a.m.) Guests may retrieve their bags between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Please note that Miami, Boston and New York have no luggage storage available.

  11. We will be on the Breakaway in January.  Under "Bars and Lounges" it lists the Vibe Beach Club.  Looks like it is an adult only area with bar and hot tubs.  Can this only be booked on board?  Is it hard to get reservations?  Is there a cost?

  12. I have been to the area and don't really think you would want to wheel around your luggage in there.   But you could do it for sure.  Some cruise lines used to offer to take your luggage to the airport from the ship.  Not sure who or even if anyone does that anymore.  Some airlines (like Southwest) won't let you drop luggage more that 4 hours before your flight.  You could probably check with your airline on that thought.
