Great video - thanks for sharing. Are there people constantly selling stuff on the beach here? I know they are public beaches, but just curious on everyone's experience here?

Wow, what an amazing live thread. We are cruising in September and I can't wait.
Thanks for sharing!

As you can see in my signature, our cruise in Sept will be my first on RC. I noticed on our last Carnival cruise a ton of people lugging around their suitcases on the open decks waiting for cabins to be ready? In the past, you might have seen an occasional person doing this now and then, but there were a lot on our last trip.
Does one see this happen on RC?? I can tell you, one will never see me toting around my own suitcase waiting for my cabin to be ready. Heck, on Carnival, I could go to my cabin right away and I still didn't bring my suitcase on with me. To each their own I guess!!

Just off the Sunshine yesterday and we were curious too as we had the Cheers program, so we tried it. And yep, it for sure works. You swipe your card, it gives you like 18 seconds (perhaps 20) to pour your beer. The have pint glasses (or close to that) sitting there waiting to be used. Price is based upon the # of ounces you pour. And of course if you are on cheers, you get 100% discount. Worked great!

Is yes it has the dispensers in the shower.

I seem to remember seeing that there might be new single serving coffee machines (Keurig's) in the Suites....has anyone seen this???

We did a Carnival "America's Cup Regatta" Challenge. I believe this is now offered in Cozumel. One of the best excursions I have ever been on.

My first few cruises were all with good friends where we were in an inside cabin with 4 adult women. Here are a few of my suggestions:
1) Make sure to put all your things away. There's enough room to take everything out of your suitcases...each person gets a shelf, part of a drawer, this type of thing.
2) Put your suitcases under the beds. Leaving it unzipped if possible (for next item)
3) When you have dirty laundry, just pull out the suitcase slightly and throw dirty clothes in for temporary storage.
4) You can use the Spa Shower anytime...split up and do this.
The biggest thing I can stress is you have to keep things tidy or it will get out of control.
My favorite part of having us all together was truly just the times getting ready for the evening's and such. It was like we were 12. We did each other's hair and really just had a great time.

It stinks when sailing from NOLA because you pay sales tax all the way down the Mississippi. It takes a while to get out into the gulf. That's usually my sign of a great first day to make it until my first drink is sales tax free!! HA

When I've traveled, the only perks that get passed on to your other cabin mates is Priority boarding and priority tender (if you are going off together).
Not laundry, not the separate line to Guest Services.

I like to order a bottle of Champagne for all my friends rooms who are cruising with us. I have it delivered to each room upon embarkation. It's a great surprise!
We can drink it whenever...we've even been know to take it on deck and have Mimosa's in the morning!

Can't wait to see who's going to be on the Conquest after Michael Dardis. Perhaps he's taking a few weeks off and then will be back by my 4/21 cruise!!

I was just in that room this past February...although I was by myself and didn't sleep on the sofa. However I have slept on the convertible sofa in other rooms and in my opinion, they are just as comfortable as the beds.
One caution about this room...not sure which itinerary you will be on, but if you have to anchor and tendor into ports...be aware that it is extremely loud when they drop the anchor!!! The first morning when they dropped it, it scared the crap out of me!!!
Have fun, the Valor is one of my favorite ships!!!
Getting around/taxi service/tour operators
in St. Martin/St. Maarten

We've been to St. Maarten multiple times, but always had a tour. I think this time we just want to do exactly what you are doing. I think a taxi is the way to go, was just hoping someone on here will have experience with best options.
