  1. We are going to be on the EPIC during the 1st and 2nd Rounds of the NCAA Tournament and will be having an At Sea day. I am wondering if they will have the NCAA Games on the ship similar to how they have the NFL Playoffs. Has anyone ever cruised during the Tournament before and have they shown the games?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Are there any treatments that are available for teens at the Spa on the NCL Epic? I looked at the menu online, and I did not see any treatments available for teens.

I have a 15 year old daughter that has been able to get treatments on other cruise lines. My wife and I have cruised multiple times on NCL, but this will be the first time for our kids on NCL.

Thanks in advance for all of the information. My daughter really would love to get a mani-pedi or a massage.

    Thanks...

  3. We are currently on the Navigator. We purchased the Surf and Stream package in advance. I was expecting the internet to be awful based upon what has been posted here. We are in a Junior Suite on 9 Forward and while it has not been blazing, it has been more than adequate. Ping times are in the 665 range and speeds have been between 2.0 and 4.0 down and 780k to 2.0 up. We have watched some youtube and a news related video about Istanbul. Bottom line, while not VOOM it is far better than it used to be...

  4. We are traveling with another couple on an upcoming sailing of the Escape. We have been assigned to check in at Terminal B while they have been assigned to Terminal C. I understand they are completely separate areas. We are both going to arrive early to the port. I am wondering if once we are past security and the check in desks, do we all funnel into a single holding area where we can meet up with our friends or does each terminal board the ship via a different gangway and we will have to set a meeting point on the ship?

We have cruised several times, but never on NCL or out of Miami. I appreciate the assist.

  5. LoveyHowell,

If you did not have another spa to go to, yes, you should get a refund. There are other choices. There are other dining alternatives on the ship. You are not making an apples to apple comparison.

Also, there is a big difference between $20 and $200.

Yes, they screwed up. As popular as the Margaritavilles are on land, they should have made it ala carte from the beginning. Demand in a fixed area was easy to foresee. Their fault is in trying to make in complimentary at the outset and poorly managing expectations.

  6. Comparing the change in a restaurant to the purchase of a car? Really? One is something we do several times a month or year and the second is the second most expensive purchase you will most likely make in your life, behind a home. Let's not blow this out of proportion.

NCL clearly has not managed the change effectively, but the change has been made and debated to the ends of the earth. Please send an e-mail to management if you do not agree.

I for one am looking forward to our Escape cruise in January. Choosing to find a reason to enjoy it, rather than reasons not to...

  7. My wife and I sailed on the Millie last year to Alaska from Vancouver. The prior poster is mistaken. We used the US Direct program last year and it was fantastic. You are required to fly into Vancouver on the day of your cruise departure. You check in at a desk that is just beyond the walkway of the gates, prior to exiting security. They then take you downstairs to a special customs area where you then board busses that are sealed and take you directly to Canada place. It was quick, easy, and was extremely convenient. If you are coming in on the day of your cruise, I would highly recommend it. I figure we saved 2 hours easy, if not more. I would suggest that you take an early flight however with at least one later one that you could hop on if your flight is delayed. Here is a link to the info from the port of Vancouver. You make the arrangements through Celebrity.
