  1. From Rick Scott

Following my repeated calls for clear guidance and timeline for cruise resumptions, I was glad to see the CDC finally issue updated guidance in April 2021, allowing the cruise industry to resume sailing out of U.S. ports by July 2021. This new guidance from the CDC is a welcome change in course that will provide desperately needed clarity for so many families and employers in Florida and across the nation. However, I will not let up. The CDC has treated America’s cruise industry terribly over the past year and I will continue my fight to hold the CDC accountable and make sure we reach a quick and equitable solution that keeps people safe and protects jobs in Florida and across the nation.

  2. Yesterday I emailed both Diamond Tours and Garry Jollymore. I received an answer from Diamond Tours this morning. They designed the trip for us for just Peggy's Cove and the Titanic cemetery (which is all we want to see). Cost is $130.00 (CAN $) for the two of us. Still waiting on the other quote.

Garry charges $200 for a 5 hr tour up to 6 passengers.

  3. Garry told me, if I had a large group, that he has other drivers available with "vans and sedans" but wanted to know as soon as possible so that he "could secure the best guides available." Sounds to me like he wouldn't have a problem with your 20.

I've been waiting to hear back from him, too, with a question I've had. Maybe he's out of touch for a couple of days.

I've been in touch with him today. He can take up to 6, but it may be tight. Right now, it is just the two of us. We may just keep it that way.

  4. My partner (of 3 years) and I love cruising as well. We have never been on an Olivia cruise because we agree with the fact that we can cruise several times vs. once on Oliva.

We cruised 4 times last year and we are already booked on two this year (hoping for 3)! We have never had any problems on any cruise line and we have sailed on Carnival, Princess & Celebrity. I think people are realizing more and more that we are just like everyone else...we love to have a good time! :p

Personally, we like been around ALL types of people. Although it's nice to be around "family" sometimes, it's not necessary to be around them exclusively. I guess we look at it like we wouldn't want to live in a world with only one type of people, so why cruise that way?! Being a black lesbian couple, we find ourselves being the minority most of the time anyway. But it's okay because we love meeting all types of new people.

Okay, I'm off my soap box now...LOL! Enjoy the rest of the day and happy cruising everyone!

    Angel :)

Well said. I agree with you. We love to cruise. We have traveled with Olivia five times, the last being in Nov 08. It is a very unique experience, but there is a premium to pay for it.

  5. There are NONE all of deck 7 is 2b cabins other than those listed at a higher class (CC or Fv) I think you've been given this connection before in this thread but here it is again :http://www.geocities.com/mahdnc/Cabinpix.html Look down all the Millennium class ships...check out the different cabins and balconies...all the ships are the same deck layout (Millennium' date=' Summit, Infinity & Constellation) There are several photos of all the different classes of cabins! Some people did post photos of these but can't seem to get them on searc. Both are slightly larger balconies (try to "google" for then it's surprising what turns up online!)[/quote']

Sorry, I meant 2B. On the deck plan, the look like they have a larger balcony. Wanted to know if these balconies are larger than the 16 2Cs on deck 6. Right now, both are available.
