Your cruise personalizer should have a designation for robes. If not, just ask your steward. There is no charge. Just leave it in your cabin at the end of your voyage. I have always had a robe provided in balcony cabin.

We went in October and weather was perfect- not too hot and not too cold-just right! Others on our ship rented a car in Santa Barbara and drove to Solvang for the day. Slovak is a quaint Scandanavian town.

We did this cruise a couple years ago on the Grand. We loved it! The sail away under the Golden Gate Bridge is a site not to be missed! Spectacular! We live in California and had been to all the ports many times. We still found something new to do at each location. Santa Barbara has the Regan Ranch Center which is very much like a mini Presidential library. In San Diego we toured the USS Midway. Nearby is a Salute toBob Hope. Weather was warm and sunny.

Has anyone ever spent a night in a castle? We will be on a British Isles cruise and would like to stay one night in a castle pre-cruise. I looked on-line and Leeds Castle in Kent looks beautiful. They even offer glamping! What about transportation?

I am sorry. I know the original thread was about land tours, but you all seem so knowledgeable about Ireland. Will you give advice about what clothing to pack for a trip in May, please. Do we need waterproof shoes/boots? Thank you.
