Oh, yes! Join us next Sunday! What does your son do on the ship?
I'm thinking about it!! 😉
My son in law is a 2nd officer. My daughter was in Club HAL then a Culinary Arts Center Host, she no longer works and just sails with hubby.
Can barely make them out...standing between basketball court and funnel....

Any luck picking them out?
Still going strong.

I could but did not get the zoom because they moved from the spot I requested the wave from :-

As a mom, how can you not?? 😉 Go, and have a great time!

Right!? We have twice when they were on Eurodam...but we also have an 18 and 10 year old, 3 dogs and chickens to have someone look after!! so it takes a bit of planning 😮

They're on the move now! I'll be onboard next December - it's a lovely ship!

Nice! they may be on again as he's slated for that contract again. I'm debating on going next sunday...

I'm generally a silent watcher, but echo your comments - it's fun watching the ships sail away. I'm partial to the HAL beauties of course. Hubby doesn't understand the appeal of watching the ships sail, so he can watch silly football @@. Have a great cruise Feb 29th - for me I have to wait for Nieuw Amsterdam on 3/28!

And I watch every Sunday too....waiting for my daughter and her crew member hubby to give me a wave from the deck of the NS. They are sailing with his parents from the UK this week.

Good. I just checked yesterdays sailaway and see Nieuw Amsterdam was tooting away.
When we are aboard, we love to hear a departure toot. Last spring on Westerdam, every port unless it was very late, Captain Mark tooted goodbye to the waving people dockside and it was very moving.
Noise complaints 🤷🏻♀️

No toots, silent departure. Do you think someone in authority has put a squash on our enjoyment?
I’ll ask my son in law. He’s a crewmember who just joined today.

Bon Voyage Jordan and Matt! See you in July!

My daughter and son-in-law are on the ship. Joined in Oslo. Have not been in touch with either since Bantry. So sad to hear about the lost passenger. 😔

She was helping with Bingo today. I asked and introduced myself and she rolled her eyes when I said her mother was watching. LOL.
I will get some good pics at the culinary class - I promise.

Yup. That's my kid! She's mortified, I'm sure. Lol
-
I will indeed grab a pic or two. Never fear ;)
There is one of her with the florist. Not her best lol.
-
I'll see her tomorrow Kerri. We have a cooking class with her. I saw her at Bingo and will make sure I say hi if she is doing it today. She failed to give me the winning card yesterday :loudcry:;p;p
I am NOT surprised you haven't heard from her. Internet has been very sporadic to say the least the last few days. (What do you expect in the middle of the Ocean?).
She is doing just fine though.
Enjoy the cooking class and sorry about the bingo card!;p See if you can grab a pic of her...I've never seen her in action!

Kazu,
Glad to see you enjoying the cruise. Food looks as fabulous as ever.
Between the internet issues and Jordan working 12 hours a day with demos, Sip and Savor, helping with bingo, game shows, trivia, hands on cooking classes, singles and solo events, library, etc, I haven't heard from her much. :D She's looking forward to some port time.
Hopefully you'll get a chance to say "hi".

Kazu,
Have a fabulous cruise!! So envious! :D
And yes, please say "hello" to my daughter Jordan. I was hoping to sail with her but it was not meant to be before she leaves ship life.
The last I heard yesterday, she was waiting in the terminal and was waiting for a "ship buddy" to show her around the Rotterdam, as she hasn't sailed that class of ship in over 3 years.(Company policy). I believe she is leaving the ship in Lisbon, as she was just doing a short fill-in contract. I've never seen her as a CAC Host, we've only sailed with her when she was still working as a YPC (Youth Program Coordinator) in Club HAL with the kiddos. Let me know if you catch one of her demos!!
Subscribing to your thread and looking forward to reading about your trip!

I wasn't looking at the webcam - was looking out our window / Balcony at Embassy Suites ;). Different view from there ;)
Thanks. I will most likely see her on board then and say hi :). (CAC = Culinary Arts Hostess I think).
Yes! Sorry, CAC Hostess=Culinary Arts Center Hostess. ;)
-
What does your daughter do on board? We can say hi for you if you like :)
She is the CAC Host. She will join today and leave in Lisbon. Very short fill-in contract. Then she and her husband are giving up sea life and moving to Seattle. :loudcry:

Will be viewing as well...last contract for my daughter sailing on Rotterdam. No more sea life :(

No, John just got off the Westerdam - a vacation cruise. He left the Zuiderdam just before Christmas.

Are you still on Zuiderdam??
