Thanks all. Also just seen she’s in for a refit too.
Don’t expect much difference I think a lot is behind the scenes and some venue changes.Â
We have booked the same suite again for January 2025 so hoping they fix the dripping ceiling ! 🤣

Arvia wasn’t for me (Caribbean Nov 2033)… beautiful decor but didn’t feel like a ship more like a resort ! 5 sea days are too much if you want to sunbathe you need to be on a lounger in the middle of the night!
lots of entertainment and dining options thoughÂ

Hi
I wonder if anyone is able to give me an idea of what the cookery club is on Britannia. Obviously cooking!
I saw it advertised in the Horizon when we were onboard in February but didn’t take much notice and it didn’t tell you much about it either. They seemed to have had various eg Thai Street food
I am thinking it would be good to do on our next Caribbean cruise, but not sure what it entails. Â
Is it a full meal that you eat together once the class has finished or if it’s something you make and take away to eat?
Wondering if I need to book myself and hubby to do together if you eat the meal….. or if you bring back, in which case I can go aloneÂÂ
I’ve tried searching in here and also P&O website but not quite got the info I need, so any help always appreciated!Â

Yes you do it before you go via my.pocruises…( new version cruise personaliser) think it maybe only lets you do it three weeks before as part of the online check in process. You can upload your photo too

The main problem we found is that you can only order your own drink. So if one of us was in the toilet or still getting ready the other couldn’t order a drink for the two of us. Seems silly as both adults in the cabin have to take the package and is more time consuming when ordering on two cards for one round, although that’s probably to stop those who would abuse it.
We were on azura recently and saw one person on the drinks package order multiple drinks by handing over the cards for the others …Â

Check out Caribbean Island tours on Facebook. We have used them in the past .. lovely lady  Owena Perrin organises them from uk …pay a small deposit … the rest on the day to the tour provider.

Hi, did you post any photos of 501 ..thanks >
Gosh that post was from a long time ago… from memory they are identical to a cabin that doesn’t have them when not in use …unless you look up at the ceiling and see the shape of them … really nothing to worry about…in fact don’t remember even noticing them at allÂ

No, still not being done on Britannia, not even flambé away from the table, done in the kitchen apparently.Â
Although P&OSue reports that everything was available on Ventura...Â

I thought last time we were on Britannia about mentioning it’s still saying incorrect info on the menu … but who would listen ? 🤣

Guilty as charged Sue 😂 The MDR usually is a bit chaotic on the first night. Epicurean was certainly relaxed and a nice way to spend the first evening, but the food was below par and, as happened with Andy as well, we were short changed with some of the touches that make it special.Â
ÂIronically, we made loads of speciality restaurant bookings because of so many reports on here of the MDR being poor (app problems, small portions, patchy quality, cold meals etc), yet Epicurean and Sindhu were both below their best whereas, other than a long wait on Celebration night, we have been very pleased with the MDR. Admittedly we have only had one dinner in there so far, but we have used it for breakfast each day and a few lunches and it’s been fine 😂Â
Â
EDIT - We have only used the Peninsular MDR based on feedback from those who have been on Britannia recently, which might help explain why our MDR experience has been good so far.Â
Hi there , just wondering if there was any table side theatre in Epicurean … like filleting the fish or crepe Suzetteoteosration /flambé
It was still described on the menu when we were onboard in February 2023 but we never experienced itÂ

Hello all.  We are also currently on the Quest and we are having a fabulous time.  We are a bit over halfway through our 21 nights and we have found the staff, food and entertainment to be wonderful.  In fact, I would say the entertainment (the Seabourn Singers and Dancers) to be the best group we have ever encountered….Such talent!!  David and Tabitha (Entertainment Director and Entertainment Manager….no longer CD and ACD) are beyond lovely and fun.  The weak link (for me) are the excursions.  One really horrendous one was a boat excursion from Vis to H’var.  Very disappointing, unsafe and uncomfortable.
Good to hear! We board next week. Enjoy the rest of your cruiseÂ

Leaving on Quest from Venice in a couple of weeks. Â Has anyone received a detailed address to check-in for the bus to the new mainland terminal?
I believe full details will be available via Seabourn website/source app 14 days before departure . That said we have arranged a transfer via Seabourn… isn’t that included for your booking too ?

I will be boarding the Quest in July for a long cruise. I have been on many Seabourn cruises and the food has always been very good. A friend is on Quest at the moment and sent me a text stating that the food was terrible. Â Anyone else experience this? Â I was shocked to hear this.Â
Sad that your friend isn’t enjoying the food, however if it was me I’d be keeping my personal opinion to myself if my friend was only a couple of months from sailing. Everyone has different tastes and expectations..sometimes making the wrong choice of meal is all it is

Strange … we regularly saw the shower heads being soaked in cleaning  fluid (well I assumed that’s what it was)Â
I’ve always found the cabins to be clean! Can’t imagine how underwear belonging to someone else would end up in the bed??? .. could be a rumour I guessÂ

We just booked a Greece/Turkey cruise for this fall and between the promotional OBC, OBC from our travel agent and OBC from a referral, we will end up with close to $2000 in OBC. The only way I can see to use anything close to that amount is through shore excursions (I realize there are other things but I don't think they will make a dent). I am usually a DIY person and we don't love big bus tours, so I was really not planning on doing ship excursions. How are the Seabourn excursions? I assume they vary, is there a way to tell which are smaller? The info on the site doesn't give a number of guests for each tour. I want to use the OBC, but I also don't want to spend all our time driving around in a big bus with tons of people! Or am I missing another way to use that amount of OBC?
Â
Any help appreciated!
We haven’t cruised Seabourn yet (upcoming June cruise) ..just wondering could you not spend it in the jewellery store …assuming it has one…rather than on excursions (for the sake of spending the OBC) and perhaps you may not enjoy  ..at least jewellery would be more lasting .

We were on Azura in Sept/Oct 2022 and did some of those ports.
Â
No standard transfers in Athens as the port is Piraeus. We booked the "Athens on Your Own" trip which was the transfer there and we also got a very short (? 10-15 mins) orientation walk a little way up the street, to point us in the direction of various attractions and left us outside the Athens museum - we got some useful tips from that orientation. I am pretty sure we were also given a map. Cannot remember the price of our trip, but think it cost about £30pp, which was P&O's money as we had a fair bit of OBC. We would take this option again as a lot less hassle than trying to do it ourselves and if we did do our own transfer we would have wanted to get back to the ship at a similar time in case we did not make it in the bad traffic conditions which build up mid/late afternoon. Otherwise you are in the Piraeus cruise terminal where you can get on a bus or taxi into Athens, or walk a fair way to the train station.Â
Â
Valetta you can take nearby lift up into the centre for a minimal amount (?couple of Euros rtn), or as we did, you can walk to the right and then get a cheap local ferry (a few Euros) over to the three cities which was a great place - far quieter than Valetta and very historic with museums etc. The ferry tickets also included the lift, so when we returned, we went straight up into Valetta and had an evening drink before returning to the ship (as it was change over daythe departure was later than normal). Locals will be trying to sell you boat trips around the harbour as you approach the ferry, but getting off the boat over there was well worthwhile as well as being much cheaper than the tourist boat trips.
Â
There were shuttles for both Dubrovnik and Corfu. We did not do the other ports from Azura, but we have been to Heraklion on Fred, who puts on shuttles if ports are more than 1 km from the dock (possibly simiiar to P&O), and there was not a shuttle bus, though it was a fair walk on the flat into the centre probably most of that 1km.
Â
Hope that helps,
Â
Barbara

Thanks Barbara for your reply and very useful information.
We have emailed p&o for the info re shuttle buses but still waiting on a reply … our TA based in Chesterfield …didn’t seem sure and said buses in Mykonos and Heraklion… ( not 100% trusting that info)we are happy to walk when it’s doable.  Will look into the Athens trip tooÂ

Good point. I think that whilst people are generally allocated one of the two freedom dining MDRs you can technically use either. Worth pointing out for the OPs benefit that the menus are identical in all 3 MDRs.ÂHi Selbourne, we were freedom dining on Britannia last week and not allocated a dining room at all and could book either of the freedom dining venues .  Although for some reason we always dined in peninsular 😂

The same for us in February, the crows nest staff on Britannia would make anything ..eg margarita, whisky sour …unlike on Azura in September …a big no if it wasn’t on the menuÂ
