  1. Yes... I’m a bare foot girl and my feet were black from the soot everyday... our cabin attendant washed down the deck a couple of times... thinking maybe it was particularly bad our cruise as there wasn’t much wind to blow the smoke from the stack ... I don’t know...

  2. We just got off Reflection southern Caribbean...we had aft cabin 6314.... it was a great cabin with a larger than normal balcony. The view was unbelievable but the walk from the elevators was lonnnng. We also had lots of soot ...the weather was very hot and therefore sitting out on the deck was some times unbearable but lovely at nite.

  3. My DH and I both got sick after our April 2 Reflection cruise. I got the stomach bug and DH caught a bronchitis type cold. Still recovering. Who knows where we caught this. We flew in and out and stayed in hotels as well. I seem to get sick after every time I fly these days and I fly a lot. I wash my hands and use sanitizer frequently but still get sick. I'm going to try airborne before leaving. My TA swears by it or maybe she's just lucky. She travels all the time and never gets sick. She starts taking Airborn a week before leaving and Emergen C.

Husband and I too got sick while on April 2 cruise... bad cough.... I noticed there was a lot of coughing around the ship ....staff too... hope everyone feels better soon... cough cough☹️

  4. Need to, required to, no you do not.

Some will say tip more, others don't tip more, and everything in between. In the end it is your money do whatever you want.

We always tip for room service and that last nite we give a little extra to our favourites....do our bartenders/ waiters/ sommeliers know we are pre paid..?

  5. Hi! We are going on our 6th Celebrity cruise this Sunday (4/1-8/18 Celebrity Silhouette) and I can never remember exactly how much I tipped, but I do have a general idea. Now I am perplexed and wondering if I am over extra tipping! Here's what I tip for a family of 4 on a 7 night cruise:

    Waiter / Steward $140 - 150

    Ass't Waiter / Steward $100 - 125

    Sommelier $80

    Bar Runner $60

    Favorite Bartenders $50 - 60

    Thanks for your feedback!

Ted..... I think it’s great that you tip well.... but are we missing the whole point of pre paying our tips... I love the fact that we no longer have those little envelopes to deal with at the end of the cruise and love that I don’t have to carry money on me while hanging out at pool or having tea or drinks at the Cafe...

We only tip for room service and sometimes if that certain person goes above and beyond...

Looking forward to another great cruise this weekend with all expenses taken care of before we get on the ship.

  6. I'm terribly excited that we just booked our next bucket list trip for September 2019 on the Infinity. I would not come to this board to post another cruise booking, but I think we just found such a great deal, I want to share this information with anyone who is interested in this itinerary. I would also welcome your response if you understand how one agency can offer an A2 cabin for $6008 total w/tax & fees when the next best-discounted price is $7948 total w/tax & fees with another agency and $9248 total w/tax & fees, just the cruise, on Celebrity's website.

I did some comparison shopping and found the $6008 price that seemed too good to be true with the travel agency connected to a popular wholesale store. I went back and forth between the websites and the A2 cabins are 35% less than the Celebrity rate and 24% less than the lowest discounted price I found. The 2C is 18% less than the discounted price I found. Not that it was the deciding factor, but the agency we booked with also gave a $75 onboard dining credit and a $475 cash card bonus after the cruise.

I wanted to book a cruise to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday and our 30th anniversary, but this itinerary was out of our reach until I found this great price. I've had some cruise deals before, but 25 - 35% less was so big I wanted to share. If you have been thinking about this itinerary, now is the time to book. :D

I feel your excitement... so glad you got a great deal. My husband and I did the same cruise 5 years ago for our Anniversary.... and we have cruised every year since... enjoy your cruise and happy birthday to your lucky husband ❤️

  8. I may be wrong...there are others more knowledgeable than I..but if this is on an S class ship, the aft balconies are not larger. Being aft is still very nice though. The large aft balconies are on the M class ships.

You are right the balconies are the same but cabin 6317 on Refection is 30% wider due to a closet next door

  9. Went online to check prices today for our April 2nd sailing on Reflection. So happy, prices went down and we were able to upgrade to a Sky Suite with all 4 perks. Not only that, it's an aft cabin. So happy!!! Check prices, call your agents...you could score a great deal.

  10. We booked 18001 as it was the last YC cabin available. It is all the way to the front.

I'm wondering if the forward looking views will be blocked by the navigation deck? Or perhaps the dining room (see deck plans where the balconies do not seem to "protrude" out)?

There may be an option to move to another cabin that has since opened up, though we are beyond final payment so perhaps that is not an option. (Anyone know the answer to that?)

I’m wondering the same thing as we are booked there too ... hoping someone will respond
