  1. Lbfluffy, no tour company, i booked it through the cruise line. But its a popular thing to take the ferry , we saw two others at the same time we went through so I am sure there are tours available to book.

  2. We took the excursion of a ferry boat through the panama canal. I think we went through two locks. It was a three hour boat trip and so much fun and so interesting. I tell people it was my all time favorite port trip ever! We had docked in Limon so it included a bus trip to the Pacific Ocean which was also fascinating and we had lunch on the ferry. The lunch was quite good. If you go, bring a waterproof poncho if you have one so you can sit outside the whole time even if it rains.

  3. The first night on the celebrity reflection, Nov 5, 2018 cruise had no show at 7 PM or 9 PM, they just had something at 10 PM which is too late for most people, especially the people who eat at the early seating in the dining room. That was the very first of the SNAFU’s regarding the entertainment mixups. Ashlie Amber’s Whitney Houston tribute was on the second night, Nov. 6. Then Ms Amber did an afternoon show on another day which was very good as well.

  4. Cruise Junky, What would be the best way to do it? Actually I’d like to come back to Vancouver, I’ve always wanted to see Vancouver Island. But not sure if I can handle three back to back cruises

  5. We were on Reflection Nov 5. Not sure who is in charge of booking the talent but there were four major mistakes made where the shows did not go on as planned... perhaps more because there was no show the first night. There was also very little scheduling of the lecturers. They were on board the entire cruise but only did a few lectures. One did three lectures, the other did two lectures. It was very disappointing for an 11 night cruise.i hope it wasn't Louis’s fault (the CD) because he was very good, very very funny!

but we had a fantastic cruise anyway!

  6. We loved the HOHO tour in Cartagena on 11/9/18. We only hopped off for the walled city. The HOHO folks give you a free guided walking tour . The only bathroom breaks were at the start of the walking tour and at the end of the walking tour. It seemed like the tour guide would personalize the walking tour a little bit but nobody in our group had any preference for that. The nice thing that really stood out is that when we were ready to hop back on the HOHO bus, the guide callled ahead, got the time it would be there and had us wait in air conditioned comfort in the Hard Rock Cafe. The HOHO people were wonderful! They were so nice and went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy. I think they read the trip advisor reviews and they try very hard to make it a good experience. I’d say it was worth the price. But I’ll also say if you want to ride around in a modern air conditioned bus, take a different tour! Cartagena was in the low 80’s, our tour left Celebrity at 9:30 and we were not hot, there was a good breeze, and I’m someone who is always hot! They do pick you up at the ship and drop you off at the ship if you buy the excursion through Celebrity, it’s very much worth it for that reason. The lady in red in the photo was our walking tour guide.

  7. We booked the HOHO tour through the ship for our next cruise but plan not to hop off except in the walled city. Our friends took it last year and loved it, they only hopped off in the walled city and liked the walking tour.

  8. We took a bus to the Holiday Inn / Pelicans Nest Pier in Aruba. It is a really easy walk from the cruise ship, just cross the street! You can ask the guards at the exit -entrance to the cruise ship pier where the bus station is. It cost $5.00 round trip an

d the buses were running every fifteen minutes, we were there this past Sunday. Also, a lounge chair rental under a palapa is $5.00 per chair and you get to see a lot of boats coming and going to the pier to drop people off and pick them up for boat tours or para sailing which you can but right there. The restaurants on the pier looked good, the water was fantastic. Really....for ten dolllars, I can’t think of a better day, and so easy, very little walking. We were in Curacao today, Monday, just walked around.... it was a very long walk for us as the Celebrity Reflection docked at the farthest possible end of the cruise pier. We walked over the pontoon bridge....loved that, and walked around downtown Curacao. They give out free walking tour maps, I loved being immersed in their culture. LOVED the floating marketplace and all they musicians and little parks all around the tiny down town area. It was hot and humid, but when you walk along the water you get a breeze and the streets going from one end of the island to the other width wise had a wind tunnel effect again a cool breeze. This wklking around is not for people who are tired but there are so many gorgeous restaurants and a casino along the way, some are very upscale nad modern and others are more like a laid black island vibe. Something for everyone. I would not skip either place.
