I apologize if I have already asked you this question.  Had you previous upgraded yourself to the Indulge package or did you just have the AI  package with your Aqua Class booking?   Did you have the Premium Drink package, Straming internet, and OBC as part of your Aqua Class booking?

This was before the indudge package. We had a classic drinks package, but when we were upgraded we were given the premium package and streaming wifi, along with bar set up, re stocked mini bar, complimentary speciality dining and free laundry.

Basically we got all the suite perks, about a 2 weeks before the shoreside concierge contacted us to enquirie our bar set up preferences.

That is not entirely true -

You keep your original perks - e.g. Internet, OBC, Tips Drink Package

You get the amenities  that come with the room

    Access to Retreat

    Free Laundry

    Free specialty restaurants

Free Bar Setup (2 bottles of Liquor of your choice, beers and premium water.

This correct, when we were upgraded from Aqua to Royal Suite we got all the perks.

The only thing we did not get were thr RS Captains Club points, we only got the 5 per night as per Aqua Class.

I have bids on Celebrity Suite and Royal Suite for an early May sailing. The CS bid was "fair" and is now marked PENDING.  I can no longer cancel it or modify.  My RS bid still allows me to alter it.  How likely am I to be awarded the CS upgrade?   Has anyone had a pending bid ultimately rejected?

    Curious indeed.

The same thing happened to us only in reverse Our Royal Suite bid went to pending and we couldn't edit it, and our Celebrity Suite was still active.

We eventually had our Royal Suite bid accepted.

So I would think you will get your Celebrity Suite upgrade.

I'm looking at a cruise on Equinox, 26 June 2022.

An inside cabin is £834 (approx $1,150) but the same cruise and cabin in $629 on the US website.

Is there anything to stop me booking through the US website?

    Thanks for any advice.

I have booked 2 cruises on the Silhouette next November. US prices were a lot lower and also had a 10% off for captains club members when I booked.

I checked with Celebrity UK and they said if the website let's you book go ahead.

  5. We had a Royal Suite on our last cruise, transatlantic Oct 2019 on the Silhouette from Southampton.(seems a lifetime ago). It was by far our best cruise ever, bridge tour and helipad sail into Bermuda were great, but the service we had from our butler Natalia, and the unlimited use speciality restaurants were superb.
We are debating to book another Royal Suite on our next cruise, Once you have experienced all the perks, the more you will want to do it again.

Did you expect any different answer? 😂

We all know by now that they “know nothing” and don’t confirm anything until it already happened.

Just read this., an official denial

We have a b2b booked on Connie Nov/Dec, originally it was on the Silhouette April 2020, used our FCC for November 2020, then L&S to November 2021. I do hope it may be third time lucky. Fingers crossed

  7. We had a successful bid from Aqua to a Royal Suite, on the Silhouette transatlantic last October.

It was a unbelievable experience. We had all the Royal Suite perks, internet, preimum drinks, free mini bar and spirits, free laundry and complementary specialty dining.

Back in Aqua for our upcoming Silhouette cruise, I don’t think we will be as lucky again.

We went days with this problem. Then one week before the cruise, we received the upgrade on a minimum bid. I don’t know why some could still bid or adjust and we couldn’t but it worked out in the end. We got an accessible room and love the huge cabin. We did try to switch cabins but I’m glad we couldn’t. Don’t switch if they give you one. It was a favorite during our cabin crawl. I’m sure you loved your Royal Suite. Thanks for letting everyone know that I wasn’t the only one they had this same problem.

Similar to us, we went about a week without being able to modify our bid, before getting the acceptance email.

I placed a bid for Aqua Class about 5 days ago for Sept 9th.  Yesterday, I noticed that when I click the original link to place a bid, the page now says I'm no longer eligible.  Also when clicking the link to modify the bid (say I wanted to increase it or cancel), it just says pending and states I can amend up to 48 hrs prior to sailing.  However, I can't click on anything that allows a change.  I know I can contact them directly to see if they could assist, but I was only checking status which still says Pending.  Has anyone had this occur once they placed a bid and if so, did you get the upgrade?  I figure they may have received more than enough bids at this time anyway, but maybe I'm too far down on the list to even stand a chance.  I'm happy with the room we have.

And if we didn't get the upgrade, has anyone asked for one at check in and was able to pay extra to get it at that time?

The same thing happened to us. I placed bids for upgrades to A Celebrity Suite and a royal Suite. After a few days the bid for the Celebrity Suite said “expired” and the bid for the Royal Suite still said pending however I was unable to modify the bid. When I went on the link from the original move up email it opened another page saying I was not eligible for move up.

I tried to contact Celebrity via email and eventually got a reply to say my move up bid for the Royal Suite was still pending no mention of the expired bid for the Celebrity Suite.

About 4 hours after that email I received another email saying that my move up to the Royal Suite was accepted.

Very strange but seems similar to your circumstances.

  10. Hi Muffinz, we stayed at the YMCA Salisbury Road, don’t laugh.

We were upgraded from a harbour view room to a corner suite. It was huge, and the views were spectacular. Especially during the nightly laser show, when they pipe the music to your room.

Its right next door to the Peninsula hotel, one of the most prestigious hotels in Kowloon, with similar views at a fraction of the cost.

Check out the reviews, my wife was dubious when I booked, but she loved it.

  11. I also enjoy a single malt to round of the evening. On the Millenium last year I enjoyed a wee dram of Laphroig sat overlooking the wake from the sunset ba, whilst my wife enjoyed a bailey.

I seem to remember there where other wiskeys to choose, but I do enjoy my Laphroig.

  12. We stayed in that cabin, March 2014 Northbound Singapore to Hong Kong.

we had friends in both 1138 and 1141.

Fantastic cabin, great for nipping down to the sunset bar for drinks, and bringing them back.

    Mario out attendant was brilliant.
