  1. Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) is booked for a cruise this February and while at the time of booking I was under the impression we were all getting the drink package, now I'm told that my 2 year old is not eligible because the package is for 3 and up. She mentioned that I could try to order for him onboard but I will likely have to pay.. now my toddler will most likely want a smoothie or ice cream like his sister will be getting. Has anyone been in this situation? What I find odd is that the cost for my kids was the same but yet 1 isn't getting the drink package.🤔

If your boarding card has a table number I believe the M'D would be at the MDR before sailing (check the daily schedule for the location) then asking them to check your table to make sure it is for 4 of you and if not asking them to change.

You will like Meraviglia she is very beautiful and clean ship.

    Happy sailing.

Thank you! I appreciate the tip.

We're looking forward to cruising again 🙂

We were on 12/4 sailing they assigned a table nearby ours to a family of 4 with 2 youngsters (very young children) and another table for a family of 3 with one youngster.  I don't think they would separate the family because there are small children involved.

Thank you for the first hand information!! I'm not worried that they would seperate us (a table for one wouldn't be so bad 🤣) I was just more wanting to make sure we aren't sharing a table with others (that sounds horrible but it's for the good of everyone lol)

  4. Hello,

I'll be cruising with my husband and 2 kids this February and wanted to know if it's likely that they stick us at a table with other people. Our kids are young.. 3.5 and will be 13months so it'll be loud and messy lol. I can't imagine trying to hold a conversation with strangers whilst trying to get my kids to eat etc. I'll be going to see the maitre d once we board but I'm curious if any other family of 4 have had experience with this.

    I appreciate your feedback!

LOL. That was my reaction as well.

Seeing the actual menu is very helpful. Thanks. It shows there are a decent variety of beverages available on OC for the Easy Package. I don't see any wines listed, but I understand the still shots from the video don't show the full menu necessarily.lo

Glad i could help! There was a wine section i just didnt take any screen shots of it. I actually took the screenshots to show my husband the drink options. We got the island drink package

I did not realize until I recently booked another cruise on the Seaside for the end of this month that I was not given credit for my last MSC cruise on the Seaside. I called and was told to email them at the address listed by new.b.cruiser and I immediately received a robo response saying that they received my email. I haven't heard a thing since. It would be nice if they would at least make an attempt to remedy a situation.

The same thing happened to me, i didnt get my points because my middle name was on my booking but not on my points account. They were really quick in my case, hope it's the same for you!

    They still do.

I didnt find it odd at the time but now that its been mentioned, it is strange we dont have a breakdown.

Same here, i know carnival does as well. And its nice to see what amount goes to who, i feel if it's published its more likely to be properly distributed and not partially pocketed especially since MSC doesnt even call it a gratuity.

  8. Hello,

Can someone tell me the gratuity breakdown on msc sailing to the Caribbean? I cannot for the life of me find it on their website and would like to know how it gets split among the staff.

    Thank you!

This evening I saw an excellent tv-program about MSC Seaside. Lots of behind the scenes  footage and many interesting facts.

The best thing that happened today was that we booked a cruise on MSC Seashore. The bad thing is that we will have to wait for 554 days before we board!

Do you remember what show it was? Maybe mighty cruise ships? Id be curious to check it out

  10. Hello,

Had anyone parked at the brighline Miami parking lot? Was it secure? I'm doing a back to back and was going to park at the port to be safe but came across this parking lot that seems secure. Can anyone with experience/ locals weigh in on this.

    thank you!

On a different thread, a TA in Canada mentioned that when they opened the Canadian site, MSC didn't realize they needed a different license to sell excursions...I guess because they are hiring 3rd parties....but that they hoped to have it resolved by end of year. I assume thst news wasn't broadly known, and could still be speculation. It is a mess, which seems to be typical MSC fashion. I hope it resolves before your trip.

On the other hand, I can at least shop onboard pre cruise services now.

Oh that makes sense, thanks for that info. Ya, I'm not surprised by this either, MSC doesn't have the best reputation for customer service and cohesive information from  their offices. I have access to pre cruise services too, thankfully!

So I asked my TA to check so she called. She said they can't be bought before final payment but they are a 20% discount bought ahead.  Maybe they aren't even visible until then, or it could just be the problems they are having on the MSC Canada website at the moment.

I am guessing you February sailors haven't paid final yet? Would you be willing to come back after payment to let us know if it changes?

    Thanks.

I can confirm it has nothing to do with final payment. I still have no access to excursions. I think it's because I booked on the Canadian site...

Definitely worth trouble shooting this now

Have your TA contact them to get that sailing added to your account.

Did you not link it online before you sailed?

Just wondering as we created online logins last night and there is a window to link the reservation/sailing. So theoretically the profile sees our reservation, Diamond status,  and even all of our passport information is in there.

Perhaps you can go into your online profile and add in the MSC reservation number of the past sailing and see if that does the trick? Worth a try

I tried to link it and I get an error msg. But the msc agent said he could see my # on my past booking so I know it was entered.. I dont know what's going on but i wrote msc voyagers club another email. Let's see if they reply to this one.  Thanks for the suggestions btw

  14. I'm worried I will find myself in the same situation! I'm a diamond (black) member and online it says my status will expire this January. Problem is I cruised msc last year but my points were never added to my account.. I've sent emails and have called and so far nothing... i cruise b2b this February and really hope I can get the problem sorted. Curious to hear how it turns out for you on board.

That could be it! My final payment is early November  I will come back and let you know.

Per my call to the MSC office, Canadian customers have to book excursions onboard.  We are not able to prebook excursions prior to cruising.  I am on-board on the 21st and there is still no option for excursions.

Thanks for the info. It's too bad that that's their policy...
