I was on the Glory last week & could smell smoke from the casino when walking up the middle atrium stairs on the first day. I was dreading having to put up with it all week but I don't know if ventilation was particularly bad that day or I got used to it (probably this), because I couldn't smell it in the same area later in the cruise.

Personally I'm not that bothered who smokes where, but some ships are definitely more unfortunate for non-smokers than others. The layout on Glory/Valor etc makes it somewhat of a chore to avoid the casino area when getting from A to B, not to mention lots of quizzes & activities/photos take place down that side area. So many bars are barely used during the day, I don't see why they don't just move trivia to one of them. It'd be easier to hear too.

The Glory was one of THE worst I have experienced.     I became so sick with a severe sinus infection.

We are on this same cruise!  We will have to stand in the pizza line together!!!  We may have to check out that fancy suite of yours!  We are just in a normal balcony room on deck 12. My wife is trying to come up with Halloween costumes for us. Should be a fun embarkation day.  Maybe we can go as pizza slices????

    Haha 😆! Yes!  🍕🍕🍕🍕

I don’t feel like there are more lines than the fantasy class, dream class or Victory (can’t remember that class of ship). As some people have said the comedy club and main theater are smaller. Yes they are but we had 0 problems getting 4 seats front row balcony last night for the welcome aboard show. We got to the show about 15/20 minutes early. Watched bingo finish and had good seats. The people that post about worst experience ever seem a little drastic. This ship is BIG!  Lots of people on board but does not feel crowded. Makes me excited to see how it will be on the Martin gras October 31 next year. 50,000 extra ton in size and extra 1000 people. Should be awesome!

First, THANK YOU for bringing us along on your cruise! ☺️  We are doing this same itinerary this November.

Second,   My husband and I will be on the Mardi Gras as well, Oct 31, 2020!   We were surprised today of the amenities and suite name change of our Excel Suite!

  4. I grew up in Genoa. We moved to Kirkland when I was going into the 6th grade.

Yes I used the app. It was wonderful. Download it before you leave home. The chat feature was $5.00 and I also purchased the social media package that was $25.00 for the duration of the cruise.

I have two Nikon cameras. My good one is the L820. It takes great pictures

Awesome! Thanks so much for the info, neighbor! [emoji4]

  5. Dekalb County neighbor??? Where do you live??? How do you like the Dream....we are going on the Dream for the 9-day repositioning cruise in April

Hey, we are in Genoa. The Dream was A DREAM! We had a fantastic Roll Call group, a fantastic Spa Suite #11-205. I can not wait to spend our next Anniversary on The Glory, as we ate on HMC on our Anniversary Day. Envious of the repositioning. I would love to spend time in NO!

  6. I hit the casino on the first night of our last cruise and did really great- winning $96 off of $6 on one machine and then another $40 on others.

However after that it went downhill. I would win small amounts but overall couldn't get my luck back. A machine that would do bonus after bonus for me the first night would go on and on without a single bonus.

I'm wondering if they loosen up the slots the first night to get people in... Or am I just a wishful unlucky lady? LOL

I will be watching this thread as I have never gambled before. Will be attempting slots in a few short weeks .....
