She didn't mention that the kettle was removed, but I will check. They were is a balcony room, not a JS.

They are back and have emailed me their thoughts
The food was fine in the Windjammer. Sometimes a bit crowded but if we chose our time it was fine.
My Time Dining seemed fine and food was lovely.
Breakfast on the balcony was good. Not as much choice but good. Although Aunty and Uncle thought the dining room was better.
I think it is always rough between sydney and nz but you hardly felt it on such a big ship.
Did get very windy.
Auckland hop on off bus would be good. Probably doing the whole trip would be best as we did see big queues at some of the stops.
Tauranga is very pretty. There is a calm bay beach and playground as well as a surf beach easy to walk to. And shops.
Napier, the Art Deco town, was beautiful. Very small but again a lovely little beach, pool and park to spend time in. The shops were good. Shuttle bus from ship to town. Apparently at Xmas it gets very busy...the streets are closed to traffic but it would be a lovely place for children to have a play.
Picton is very small but pretty. We went on a cruise which was lovely but not necessary.
Wellington was wet and windy as expected. A 20 minute walk to town or $10 shuttle bus or $20 taxi for 4. I think the hop on bus would be good. There is a fantastic museum in the city and a cable car that goes up to a city view..
The ice show was fantastic. All the shows were enjoyable. The shopping promenade looked good but shopping only expensive handbags, watches, jewellery etc. they kept having sales which were rushed like Boxing Day sales!
We didn't see any rock climbing. I don't think there was much as the weather was too windy. The flow rider looked great but not tempting to a geriatric! The mini golf was more my style.
There were not many children on board but I know that will change at Christmas.
A small carafe of wine in the Windjammer was $15 and another free. That was about five drinks. Wine at the bars was usually $8.50 a glass. The cheapest bottle of bubbly in the dining room was $29. As You know, the coffee is not good but you can buy it at the cafe. We tried the food at Johnny Rockets but didn't really like it.

We went to Sydney to wave goodbye to my parents (70+) and my Aunty & Uncle (60+). All first time cruisers
Circular Quay was very busy as it was a long weekend. They arrived by train and said the trains were busy as well. We parked at the Opera House, easy to get to and plenty of spaces. $37 for 7 hours.
We all arrived about 12. As it was so hot and busy I suggested they drop off their bags before we find a coffee shop. There was a very short line to drop bags off. They decided to see if they could check in. The boarding times were at the door but the guys checking tickets was letting everyone in. There was a long line, but it was air conditioned.
They joined the line about 12.45 and were on board going to lunch by 1.30.
Mum said yes the buffet area was crowded but they all found something nice to eat. There is a kettle in their room (balcony). They had chosen my time dining but were told there were no tables for dinner that night (?) but were happy to go back to the buffet as they were all excited about sailing through the heads.
Voyager was bow in and their balconies faced the opera house. There seemed to be a few families/friends waving to the ship from the opera house. When it sailed it reversed toward Luna park then turned. Very impressive to watch it move in such a small space.
Wishing everyone on a board a wonderful holiday. Others are welcome to post their comments here. I will not get any more feedback until they get back.

We used the t shirt, undies ect special. We packed a fair bit in the bag. I also remember that it came back late afternoon the next or or may even the day after that.

I noticed a price drop after our deposit was paid. I rang our TA, who checked for us and said RC wouldn't pass on the saving.
Our TA said if we cancelled and rebooked we wouldn't get the special as it was for new customers only. Also we would probably lose the interconnecting rooms we wanted.

Thanks for posting the show times. I will chat to my family about dinner as we have a table of 5.

Hi we sailed on the Radiance a few years ago with our 4 year old. She just drinks water and milk and I found there was easy access to both at breakfast, just water at lunch and dinner

Thank you for the detailed review. I will be chatting to my TA about booking our MTD next month for our December cruise

Hi I really liked that chocolate place but noticed that some things didn't have that sweet chocolate taste, more of a dark chocolate taste.
Hope you enjoy your holiday

Thanks for the on board updates. I have been reading the reviews of the December cruises and have been very worried. My parents are sailing this month for the first time and really want it to be a great holiday.
Any other feedback or suggestions would be very welcome.
Hope you have a great holiday.

We went to a RC specialty dining to celebrate a birthday. It was lovely.

I will be taking my mini iPad as I down load books to read and our 7 year old has movies to watch. Yes there will be lots of great things to keep us busy but we sometimes need a bit of quiet time.

thanks for that. We also have some onboard credit that our TA said we could use to book tours with. Now will have to cross my fingers and hope they haven't sold out before we board.
