  1. We won't be going on any more RC cruises. After becoming less and less pleased with their cruises over the last few years we have now received the last straw.

We booked a cruise on Symphony of the Seas for Feb 1 2020 when we were on a cruise in January 2018- 2 years ahead.  We received an email  a couple of weeks ago that it was being cancelled because it was chartered that week. Our options were to rebook on several cruises in Jan or Feb on Symphony, Oasis or Allure.

We only wanted to go on Symphony and the only date that worked didn't have any ocean view balcony rooms. We were offered a boardwalk room which we didn't want.

There were plenty of Junior suites available but they refused to upgrade us.  We then tried to rebook the following year and found a cruise online. We would have to pay the new price -$600 more- but would receive a $200.00 credit. Well we were told that that price was the nonrefundable price and if we wanted our deposit to be refundable (which it was on the cruise that was cancelled) we would have to pay another $300 for the cruise. The agent refused to budge on anything and so we asked for our deposit back and will look at other cruise lines. So much for being loyal Royal Caribbean cruisers-its the only cruise line we have ever been on. From what I understand the ship is being used as a floating hotel for the Super Bowl in Miami that week. I'm guessing it isn't chartered at all but RC is renting the rooms at outrageous prices to Superbowlers.
