  1. I just bought some sanitizing wipes on amazon that are supposed to kill Noro and I plan to bring them on our cruise next month to wipe down surfaces in our room. I do the same with hotels. I'm paranoid I guess, and I know the crew work hard to clean everything but you never know. I use hand sanitizers and wash my hands at every opportunity. I take probiotics with me. I haven't gotten into wearing face masks yet but who knows! 🤣

  2. It's amazing this thread is still alive! The first time I read through it was back in 2012 when I was planning our first cruise and now I'm still getting good info from it for our 4th. I have found that really, keeping it simple is the way to go. Over complicate it and you will have more anxiety.

I appreciate the over-the-door-hanger for toiletries, but if you don't bring a lot of extras it isn't necessary and just takes up room in the luggage.

Never needed a sharpie, or duct tape. Sound machine app on my phone takes the place of a fan. We have never needed an air freshener or clips to hold drapes closed.

I continuously bring clothes that I don't end up wearing no matter how hard I try to cut them down! I'm going to try harder this time to be realistic.

RX and OTC meds are a must, as well as travel documents, lysol wipes for room, sea bands, minimal makeup-not the whole vanity, sunscreen, aloe gel and coconut oil. I bring a mini pharmacy with a little bit of everything like pepto, cortisone, Mydol, NSAIDs, probiotics, cold medicine, bandaids and triple antibiotic. That has always come in handy. The only thing we bring that admittedly takes up space is our own snorkel gear. We just don't like using gear that others have used on excursions.

Other than that a good book, swimsuit, sunglasses and a positive attitude is all I need!:D

  3. Wow

We had it up in the wedding chapel, since it was the only place that was quiet and semi private. Since there were so many of us we had 2 studies on Monday and then on Saturday. We couldn't fit everyone up there I guess! Add to that we met 2 people who are studying, one is a bartender who's family are all Witnesses and who is going to be leaving soon so she can get baptized [emoji4] and the second is a guy in the Caribbean band on board. It was hard to say goodbye last night! Thankfully we have Facebook and email!

  4. We just had our co visit last week too, so encounter. Let us know how your cruise went.

We are in San Juan today so I have some internet access! The cruise so far has been awesome. We ran into a group of witnesses from Texas who had already found a couple other groups on our ship. In all there are about 50 of us on this cruise! We had a Watchtower study on Monday and we will have another on Saturday. It really makes a vacation better!

  5. We just sailed princess for the first time, it was really nice

A family in my congregation usually sail on princess and they really enjoy it! I'm getting so giddy to leave in 4 days I can hardly stand it! Plus we just had our co visit this last week, what a great send off!

  6. Have a great trip!

We are on the Ruby Princess, Dec 13, for a week....hoping it doesn't rain.:)

Thanks! You too! I'm really hoping for good weather; I've heard it's been a bit windy. I've never sailed Princess but I hear it's lovely!

  7. I'm so happy to see a thread on here for Witnesses! The first two cruises I ever went on we're on a smaller Carnival ship back in 1999 and 2001 that had large groups of friends, like half the ship! Best way to travel! My husband and I are taking the inlaws on a cruise in a week, on Independence of the Seas Dec 6. Then the two of us are staying on for the Dec 14th itinerary too. If any other fellow JW's will be on either of these let me know! It's a great vacay but a long time to be away from our brothers and sisters!

  8. This thread was so informative thank you! We've got cabanas twice coming up in December on our b2b cruises and now I feel like I know what I need to know! I'm going to try and make sure we get the upgraded buffet. I only have one question for you, are the towels and cooler with water only for barefoot beach or are they provided for nellies cabanas as well?
