  1. Hi everyone, we were on the Summit and used Colin Jennings the first week of July. Because we had a large group, he had to bring another taxi driver. That driver was Sydney Robertson.

We enjoyed our day thoroughly. They met us outside our ship and took us on a tour that was suitable for our group which included children through grandparents.

I will say that Colin was not good on email as has been reported. However, he is a top notch guide.

The other part of our party was in Sydney's taxi and they enjoyed it. Also we saw Sydney every day as we got off of our ship and he always said hello to us, and asked us if we needed anything. When we could not find the catamaran tour we had booked privately, he called them for us, and, when he saw we were waiting too long he called them again to ask where they were.

His contact info is: sydrob@northrock.bm. His cell number is 441-335-0888.

You can't go wrong with either gentleman.

  2. Do you (or anyone) by any chance have his contact info?

I have an email address from last year and I sent him a message last week but haven't heard anything from him. I'm thinking that it might be an old email address.

    Thanks in advance!

I am having the same problem. I have an appointment with him in a couple of weeks and I am trying to confirm, and also figure out where we will be going. I've emailed him twice in the last week and have no response.

However, I understand that's a typical experience in dealing with Colin.

  3. Hi All,

I have tried searching this thread but have found nothing definitive. It's been over a decade since I was last in Bermuda. I did attend Harbour Nights then, and I remember it as being somewhat of a street fair, like what you might find in NYC on the weekend.

Has it changed? Is it worth our time? While it might be nice, I wonder if it would be too much of a hassle to take the ferry there and back from the Dockyard. We will be there on the Summit on July 4th, and we are in our 40s with young teenage kids (actually another couple in our group has kids younger than ours).

I would love to read the opinions of anyone who has been there recently, both good and bad. I am completely up in the air on this subject and would like ANY information anyone has.

    TIA!!! :)

  4. First I want to thank all of you who posted about Gerry. We had a terrific day with him last Wednesday. We had 2 families, 8 people total, and Gerry took us around in a Suburban.

Gerry took us to the market for ice, beer, water, snacks, etc, the north west side, San Gervasio, the east side including lunch at Playa Bonita, Paradise beach, then back to the ship. We had Gerry with us for the whole day. We had a terrific time.

Gerry is a gentleman, and his English is very good. He also is as much a guide as a driver. He gave us tips on where to buy things (when the guys wanted cigars, he took us to a shop further back in Coz), helped us order lunch and recommended food, and got us back to the port in plenty of time. Then when we arrived, he made sure we got into the correct line for our tender (thus saving us a long wait in line).

He is well worth the money. Good luck!
