Of course there are no plans to extend them per the corporate office. When is the last time the corporate office has done right by any passenger?

Once again, they have breached the terms of their own contract. When you bought your certificates, you agreed to book and sail within a certain time frame. In fact, you booked and were prepared to sail but NCL voluntarily cancelled your cruise, making it impossible to redeem your certificate within the stated timeframe. This is so obvious, I can't even believe their response.

Get it to the Federal Maritime Commission or Attorney General....forms available via Google search. It has been reported that NCL caves very quickly once called to task on their unethical behavior. Good luck.

  2. I was booked on a April cruise using 2 valid CruiseNext certificates, by the time  they cancelled that cruise,  my certificates had Now expired, but because they cancelled they let me apply them to a future cruise.  That cruise has now been cancelled.  This time they tell my TA they will not extend my CruiseNext certificates.  I used them In good faith when valid and NCL has cancelled (I did not cancel on my own)

I contacted NCL  and was told the following, which I find unacceptable since NCL cancelled both my cruises:

Thank you for contacting us here at CruiseNext. Per the terms of the CruiseNext program, you must book and sail within 4 years of the date the deposits were purchased. When your travel agent contacted us about your new booking, we offered a one-time courtesy to cover the later sailing, and advised her at that time that, should the booking be cancelled for any reason, the deposit will revert back to its original expiration date.

At this time, there are no plans to extend CruiseNext deposits that have already expired, per the corporate offices.

  4. I just now saw the postings informing us rather unofficially that there would be no Azamazing night.  I did not book this cruise due to a cancellation of a Cuba cruise, I booked it because of the timeframe / quality past experience with Azamara.  I fully expected the promised evening.  After just getting off a very disappointing Oceania cruise, it now appears Azamara won’t be meeting expectations either.  I guess it’s time to move back to my old standbys- Celebrity, Princess and Holland

  5. We have not received any further information on the number of sick, but the level of caution is still high on the ship. They have casino barriered off so there is only one entry / exit point allowing a crew member to sanitize everyone. Everything is served individually (so no common bread baskets / butter dishes / salt & pepper shakers) - all of this seems to be overworking the crew a bit. We attended a party last night and they were not allowed to serve canapés because of the heightened health hazards. We also had a notice that if you were deemed sick, that New Zealand required a 48 hour quarantine (so no going ashore if doctor says you had it). Again, the crew is working extremely hard to accommodate the guests and keep people healthy, but after 7 or 8 days on the ship, it's becoming tiresome, and guests are getting grumpy

  6. Sounds like Celebrity is trying to do everything to contain the virus. Do you happen to know if it's less people ill compared to other past sailings or are there still a lot of people coming down with noro? Hopefully the percentage who are ill is getting smaller.

We sailed from m Sydney, did one day at Sea, then Melbourne - the word was that as of Melbourne there were 18 sick. As we left Melbourne, the captain came on the speaker and informed guests that we would be n heavy sanitation mode probably for remainder of cruise. We have been 2 more sea days, plus a day cruising the Sounds. Today we dock in Dunedin, so I'll will be listening for any reports on sickness and post.

  7. We are on Solstice now. No salt / pepper shakers, staff is dishing out food in buffets, menus for n bars are held by the wait staff, hand sanitizer people everywhere. Ship is offering visits to doctor for free for anyone who suspects they may be ill. Lots of announcements saying ship is affected and that everyone should be washing hands. The crew is working extremely hard to keep everyone healthy and happy.
