Can you use this OBC in the casino with no surcharge?
When on Anthem in November i was able to get it on a slot machine and then just cash it out.

I do this for all of my cruises and just call C&A number 1 800 526 9723 let them know the booking number how and much. Done in a couple of minutes without any problem. They will e-mail a receipt to you which you can print and bring with you. On the ship is a note in cabin saying you have a credit on your account.

Thank you very much for getting that information. Enjoy the cruise and have fun with the flash mob, you may have two left feet but more courage than I would have.

Looks like you are having a fun cruise. Can you check for the price of the Sip Tour Brunch. My DW works in a kitchen and would like to do this. TIA

Four of us had dinner on Anthem Oct 27th and I can say one of the worst dinners we tried to eat. salad bar was very sparse hot apps were on individual plates so we had to make repeat trips for more than two small bites. the mains that were served to us, two chicken kabob with orzo were so dry that they were inedible, salmon was overcooked and mahi mahi didn't fair any better. I am a cook and the food would not have even made it to the table. Server started with trying to upsell the steak and when declined served the mains and never returned. We got up to leave and told the maître' d and said chicken was so dry and he just agreed.
main dining table mates ate there another night and they also didn't like it .

usually buy OBC because I can't loose it while travelling to the ship. Also find the exchange rate from RCI is better going from CAN to US. having a cash account also saves me from having to call when they charge your cc for things you didn't purchase( when mini bar was in your cabin).

On Oasis class ships they offer the ddd pkg if you book a central park or boardwalk balcony. Has anyone been able to switch anything between the different pkgs?

Great time on this cruise, nice and calm seas. I was with you during I-fly and really enjoyed watching your family have such a good time even after your daughter got lost. I hope she had fun getting spun with the instructor.

Exactly, as I said in an earlier post, RCI is not a bank, they are giving the fantastic rate so that we will spend more on board. I'm sure it will come to an end soon. They are already making it so that it isn't quite so easy to cash out in the casino on some ships and that is set to go fleet wide. I'm sure when the beards get enough reports of all these people cashing out hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars at the end of the cruise, they will stop that real quick. It is a shame, as the saying goes, a few bad apples ruin it for everyone.
Instead of purchasing excursions, specialty restaurants, drink pkgs, etc. ahead of time at the Canadian prices we will buy these things on board at the US rate and may even upgrade to better things than we would have.
Also plan on using in casino so now I don't have to carry as much cash with us.
I agree, people that purchase excessive amounts are abusing the system.

bought more obc for January cruise and c&a rep said that the 499 limit has been lifted recently, so no need to do multiple transactions.
bought at 10% rate bank is at 43%. thanks RCI

Will be going on Oasis eastern itinerary and need to know if as a Canadian, do I need to bring my passport on shore as proof of citizenship or will a valid drivers licence be proof enough?

just bought OBC yesterday for end of Feb cruise. Paid 650 CDN for 500 US. Easy to do just call C&A and tell them you want to buy OBC for your cruise.
