  1. Thank you. Now I'm down @20lbs in 8 weeks. Congrats to you too! Do you do it online?

No I go to the meetings. It helps to keep me on track that way. You are rocking and rolling 20 down in 8 weeks yayy!!!. I think I could do better if I could go without wine for a week but that's another issue lol. This Feb. cruise is coming fast though. Today is the first of three thanksgiving dinners for me so it's going to be tough. We did the whole plate thing in our meeting last week that was a good visual and helped put the meal choices in perspective.

  2. It's a vendor called Wet Money. ;) WEBSITE

I emailed wetmoney about renting 3 golf carts in feb. for our cruise since we have a group of us. I received an email back from Jamal very quickly but it was just a short we can assist you, I then emailed him back to see if a deposit was needed and he said he would put my name down for 3 carts and it was cash payment that day. I never did ask how much because I saw on their site they charge 100 for the day. Should I asked to get a better rate or just go with thinking it will be 100 and not worry about it.

  3. Scarlet, I made the spice cake muffins with pumpkin. Very good but I might try again adding grated carrots and pineapple. The were good..I got about 22 muffins. If you have 24 muffins they are 4 smart points apiece. I don't know if I thought one tiny muffin was worth 4 points LOL. I am into quantity!!!! I have had the brownies with black beans and those are good too.

I'm going to have to try the spice cake muffins they sound good. What exactly did you use? Was it a box of spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin puree?

  4. This will be our first cruise and frankly I am a little concerned.

How about some tips on what works for you when you are on a cruise. I suspect some weight gain is inevitable but want to have some strategies and planning ready, to keep things reasonable. Thanks.

I personally try not to worry about it too much on the cruise but just don't go hog wild. Enjoy what you want but keep your portions to a minimum, Eat the fruit and vegtables they help to fill you up. I love the caesar salad! Eat that verses the bread. You do a ton of walking on the ship and shore and that does help. Be careful of the fufu cocktails they are loaded with calories. Enjoy them occasionally but try to find low cal mixers or do light beer instead. Limit your deserts, you probably don't do desert at home after every dinner.

  5. Diane, I'm glad you liked them. I've heard of the pumpkin with the cake let me know how it is..I have made brownies with the pumpkin puree. Very easy, they don't rise a lot but they are chocolatey. I made a great crockpot chicken taco chili. It was a video on facebook by skinnytaste and it was low in points and so amazingly yummy!! My whole family loved it!! Easy to make too.

  6. A while back I was able to switch my rate to a casino rate and saved a few dollars plus got 50 casino cash but my friends who both husband and wife like to gamble were not able to get the offer because according to Carnival the 6K cabin they are in is in too high demand. The carnival rep said they should be able to go to casino once on board and explain that they could not get the special price due to their cabin category and casino host would possibly give them the casino cash part of the offer.

  7. mommy4life, 1.8 is awesome!! Don't get discouraged. Keep plugging at it, before you know it 1.8 turns into 4 lbs then 6 etc.... Slow and steady wins the race. Last week I only lost .4 but that's ok it was still down and not up and it makes me more focused to do better next week. I'm not sure what you do for exercise but go up and downstairs for laundry a little more, get up on commercial breaks and prep snacks for the next day... Every lil bit helps. Six weeks ago I had a goal of 40 off by my Feb. cruise now I'm down to like 27 to go and the weeks have flown by.

  8. I haven't been on here in a couple weeks. Life has been busy!! One week I had too many cheat days and lost only .2 yuk!! Well the next week i was better and lost 3plus. I am down just about ten pounds yayy!! Still have 30 to go but feel like I am more on track. I hope everyone is keeping motivated and losing. We all want to look good tan and in a bathing suite:)

  9. Diane, Update on the Cannoli cups. They turned out great!! So easy to make. My daughters and two year old grandson loved them and they are not on any diets lol. Tip .. If you buy a pack of won ton wrappers buy two containers of fat free ricotta. This will make plenty for your party.

  10. I'm only 4 days into it but when I took the day to shop the app was mostly "how" I was shopping. I have not tried any of the other sites that have been mentioned in this thread yet.

my personal challenges are exercise and water. I have only done about 15-30 mins per day on the exercise bike. And maybe get in 2 eight oz per day. I have not really read anything on water...I know it's supposed to be 8 eight oz per day...so I'm behind in both areas there!

Water was hard for me when I started before but it starts to get more routine as you go along. I find it helps to have a water jug of some sort, mine is 24 ounces. Keep it filled and with you all day. Tip... I think the ones with a straw help me to drink more also.

WW and their always changing point system, I've learned in the last week sugar free is very important and the items with less sugar have less points. I used to always buy my fat free french vanilla coffee creamer now sugar free is less points.

Try to plan out your meals for the week and then go shopping it really helps. I did that this week and I made healthy meals and my family ate everyone of them!!! Last night I made a Buffalo chicken chili and a bowl was only 4 points. I had a vitatop corn muffin on the side for 4 points and I was totally satisfied.

  11. It is hard and, IMO, there are no shortcuts. Being a guy it probably comes off a little easier.

I really embraced the WW methods. I tracked everything I ate on their mobile app. I went from no exercise to 5 times a week. I watched my portions, decreased the meat size and ate all kinds of fruit and vegetables.... and of course, the water. :)

If I can do it. You can do it. Good luck!!!

Thank You Robjame, and thanx for the tips!!!

I weighed in this morning and I am down 3.6 lbs so 36.4 lbs to go. I'm feeling good and motivated now:)

  12. Diane, I will for sure let you know. I am not familiar with the skinny website you mentioned but will check it out. There is a girl on youtube who blogs all the time and shares products and recipes that she has tried her youtube name is weightwatchergirl1. Check her out she has some great stuff. One thing I got from her is these vitatops things. They seem to be a cross between a muffin and cookie, are a good size and like 2 pts each. Come in all different flavors and she says they are very good and satisfying. I ordered them the other day but you can get them at some of the local stores as well. I like you went to meetings a long time ago where the instructor showed products and shared recipes, I used to love that. This girl does it in her videos and she finds all kinds of stuff.

  13. I need new and exciting things to eat to keep my interested besides all chicken and veggies lol. I was on you tube last night and I found some great videos. One was this girl who lost over 165 lbs and she does a ton of clips {I believe her name is weightwatchergirl1} She likes to show new products she has found. She raved about these things called Vita tops. They are kinda like a muffin/cookie and come in all kinds of flavors. Most of them are 2 pts and she says very filling and satisfying. I haven't tried them yet but I did order some. She says some stores carry them as well but not all the flavors.

  14. I started back to WW last week so Wed. will be my first new weigh in. I am trying to find a thread on here that has some activity. I feel there is strength in numbers and we can all help each other push through this. I want to stay focused so I can lose 40 lbs by my Feb 2017 cruise. That is roughly 2 lbs per week so we'll see
