  1. Any idea what the following on my folio means:

Contra - Premier Beverage Package   60.88

I did have the premier package and it looks like another one of the many charges that are listed on my  folio but were included in the package (They went thru as charges and used all my OBC, refundable and non-refundable.

  2. Yes, I know. I have always checked it before leaving. I checked it twice along the way. We were sailing in a suite and had the premier package. I had already had to get them to refund charging my Visa card in advance for the two specialty dining for each of us.

But, now I have been charged for a suite embarkation specialty dinner for two, crew appreciation for 1 of us, and something marked Contra - Premier beverage package to the tune of $60.88. We always had wine by the gIass that was fully covered by the premier package. I only spent $55 outside of package/suite covered items.

Any special number to call or just call the main line and hang in there?

Thanks for any advice/experience of others.

  3. My love affair with the Medallion App continues. Just got my credit card bill and I was originally charged for 3 specialty dining reservations (full suite with premier package fare - so should have 3 free specialty dining events for 2 people). One of them was reversed but all three were charged at $58. I have 1 res @ Sabatini's (should be $50), 1 at Bistro Sur La Mer, and 1 at Crown Grill.

Are there some folks who deal with this kind of stuff specifically or do I just call the regular number??

This app was bad when I went on our first Medallion cruise back in 2019 and it does not appear to have significantly improved. 😒

  4. It may be caused by staff availability on a particular ship(s) so they closed bookings early to not overwhelm the staff and only provide less than stellar service to the ones who were on the ship

It's also possible that there was a high rate of covid test failures just before sailing, both in vaccinated passengers and ones who had not received their results and did antigen tests at the pier.

Princess was also limiting the number of unvaccinated passengers allowed on each ship as a percentage of how many vaccinated passengers were booked.

  5. Bring back souffles. They used to be on the menu several times during a cruise and I had it each and every time.  Also, escargot. The first time I had them I cancelled my entree and just ate nothing but the escargot. It gave the waiters a good laugh.

Please let there be ice cream for dessert. That is my husband's go-to and he might never go on another cruise if there is not ice cream. He might compromise with the soft serve but he would miss the flavors.

Has anyone else had their dining reservations disappear from the MC app, but still been able to see them from the web version?  We sail Aug 27 on Royal, and I had booked 6 of our nights via the app several weeks ago (Symphony DR).  Went back in last week on the app and couldn't see them, but they were showing up on the web version of MC.  I booked the 7th night's dinner via web version, in Concerto since Symphony wasn't showing up as an option. It DID show up  in the mobile version of the app.  I've since seen some comments about the Symphony being closed on less-than-full sailings, so have a feeling that is why they dropped from the mobile version of the app? Princess tech support for the app was no help. Today I edited the original 6 nights' reservations via web version. Symphony was not an option so picked other DR's. Have to wonder what would have happened if I hadn't checked it before boarding.

What is the web version of the app and where can I find it? Android won't let me use Dine My Way although I am well past final payment. Any help would be appreciated. My cruise is 1 Oct.

Vines seems to be struggling on this sailing. We were interested in a particular tasting, but nobody signed up. Whenever we walk by, it’s empty or the people sitting there were using it as overflow from the International Cafe.

It's been awhile since I was on a ship with a Vines. Do they still not open on port days until 4 in the afternoon and open at 11 am on sea days??? Always wished they opened earlier every day.
