The club balcony is essentially the same size as a regular balcony. The only difference is in the bathroom. You'll only appreciate the difference if all three adults are using the bathroom at the same time.
Thank you everyone for answering. Guess I'll book it out right. I do like the fact that Club has double sink.

Which interior cabin do I book to ensure I can use 60,000 to get up to Club balcony? I need a bigger room for three adults.

Agree with MSCdivina. We booked an inside and used points to move to a balcony on the day the cruise was available for booking (1.5 years beforehand?) at some point before the cruise sailed, they had a sale that greatly reduced the price of the balcony to about what we had paid for the inside. After much discussion and several HUACB episodes, we kept the balcony cabin, paid a pittance (under $100 for both of us) and the points were redeposited into our rewards account. We then reused them on another cruise.
Boy, that's great! glad you know how to HUACB. I don't know how to do that. I am currently trying to get something like OBC for a cruise that was paid-in-full from a CAS, and the price has dropped to even lower than my discounted price. Two days. No luck!

I once asked my PCC and the answer was basically that an upgrade isn't really possible unless you bid. From what I've read, the comparative price would be what you originally paid, not the value of your upgraded cabin.
And you can't get your points back once you have upgraded.
TY!

I will have enough to book an inside and double upgrade to balcony. My question is once you're upgrade, that's it? You are done with whichever room you ended up? Can you still do price match? How? Ex: if I booked a room and later the price goes down, I can ask for a price reduction, but if you moved up, how would you know what price to look for?

You have to book the cruise thru CAS but you can then transfer the booking to your travel agent. We've done this before.
...and for all of you reading, we've never stepped foot inside a Caesars casino but have Diamond TR status thanks to a credit card. Won't spill the beans but it's an easy 20% off every cruise by having a certain credit card. Do some research, it's worth it 😉
Which credit card gives you Diamond CTR?

Sorry, but it is not like Las Vegas for the drinks in the casino.
To get 'Free drinks while playing' in NCLs casinos, CAS will give you a players card with the drink card attached. This players card is usually delivered to your room your first day on board. You show this card to the server or bartender. They also scan your room card. In addition to alcohol you can also get bottled water and energy drinks which aren't covered by your basic beverage package. If you get a higher Tier players card with CAS you do qualify for more expensive drinks at the casino bar.
We no longer take the beverage package (paying the 20%) as we get plenty of drinks in the casino and tip for those as we go. For others, paying the 20% gratuity for the promo to get drinks anywhere on the ship works best for them.
What sort of energy drinks, and do you give cash tip with every drink?

I saw Princess' gift cards on AARP's website yesterday. Are they as flexible to use as carnival's? I hope so since Carnival owns Princess. I purchased RCL before but they are a pain to use. Thanks!

They have a shuttle (it does cost) but not much. Just google the hotel and the info should be there somewhere.
Do you pay at hotel or shuttle driver?

We will be going to the Crown Plaza Tower. Any advise how to get there?

I have always been able to put 1 as deposit and login to use another one to lower the balance.
But did you book a balcony and 6ms out, which would have allow two anyway?

Is there a way to tell which ship/date/itinerary allow two certificates? I used one last time from NY. Booked sorta last minute and for the inside cabin. I just lucked out on that I guess? Hoping there is a list somewhere. I was going to use one for Cuba but the person I talked to told me it has to be for cruises are 7 days or longer so I booked with another cruise line. Turns out you can use it for the Cuba after all. Anyway, I still have two that are valid to April 2020. By the way, does anyone know if this is a booked by or cruised by date? Thanks!

I forgot about myvegas when we booked 2 months ago. I tried using a reward anyways and was rejected because 30 days had past. They mentioned they’d reprice the cruise if in my favor, which it isn’t. So I canceled my reward and will try again some other time.
kind of bummed, but I figured it was going to be a long shot.
How did you cancel the reward? I purchased the 10% reward and found other option with 10% so I tried to cancel the reward but there is not an option to cancel that particular reward. I have canceled other before so I know there are options but not for the 10%.

Can we bring wine on this five days trip? Have never sail less than seven before. Thanks!

Is it doable to go to Moscow when your ship is in SP?

Thanks! Good to know. This gives me knowledge to compare the two. The OBC and perks are more valuable then points so I will just book outright the cabin I want then get statement credit. I need to book soon since my points expired in Feb, 2019.I was told no when I upgraded us from inside to balcony using a double cross meta.If you find out differently please report back here so I can go argue! lol

I hope it means more days in Cuba though. I do see 7 and 9 days posted for 2018 but they actually only stay one day in Cuba.I keep hearing that it will be in a "week or two", that they just have to get a few things finalized. The last time I spoke with my NCL agent, he indicated that he had been told that they were going to try and expand their presence in Cuba, and add some 7 days cruises in addition to the shorter cruises. I will believe it when I see it, however. -
If I book an inside room then use points to upgrade to outside, will I get perks associate with outside?

Got it! It wasn't until you mentioned the pin that I went back to the email and saw the "actual card" with the GC number and pin. Prior to that I printed out the receipt from AARP and it did not show number/pin. Thank you!If you haven't paid off your cruise, then apply it to your cruise balance. If you've paid your balance & grats, then you can buy the drink packages if you wish, picture packages, if you are one who uses Carnival for excursions then you can get an excursion, anything. If you don't want any of that, then you can just hang onto it and take the numbers+pin with you when you go on your cruise and use it to pay for your onboard spending. -
Ok. So I purchased $500 Ecard. What are my options now? Print out receipt and take it with me on my cruise? Add to my existing reservation? What is the safest ways to handling this?

No need to waste color. B/W is fine. When you print your boarding passes and luggage tags do they need to be in color or is black and white fine? Trying to get everything done and I'm out of colored ink....of course.Sent from my RCT6303W87DK using Forums mobile app

-
Oh. OK! Just making sure they don't send the card by mail. Separate note: Just had to call about credit card that never made it to our house. Thanks!Because you have an AARP.com account which is linked to an email address.

This might be old news but I just found out you no longer have to call or talk to anyone to upgrade your room with world points anymore. I just did a double meta upgrade all on line. Wish me luck!
