We (50) started out on a Princess tour to Cape Breton Island from the port in Sydney NS on a tour bus. The bus broke down about 15 miles from the port and we were stranded on the side of the road for 3+ hours when a new bus came to pick us up and return us to the ship. They had to use a bus that was supposed to take a tour that afternoon which was canceled at the last minute. When we returned to the ship they canceled the tour and gave us each $100 OBC along with apologies from a ship officer. Princess had chartered all the busses in the area. The tour operator was profusely apologizing but no more busses to be had. I had often wondered about pax left behind on ship tours and what happened. It made me realize the benefit of using a ship tour versus a private one. Interesting story.
We were with you on that broken bus.

The issue I had was not with booking but seeing what is available for each port.
I had no issues seeing what was available and then booking them.

I just booked four excursions using an iPad and had no issues. This was about an hour ago.

We have ported at Ocho Ries twice, both several years ago and did not feel safe. I doubt it has changed for the better. On one stop we were directly asked if we wanted to buy drugs. Jamaica is off our travel list.

Yes - We have done this several times!

This reminds me of a Disney cruise we took over 30 years ago when our children were 5 and 7. When the food was served I automatically want to cut up their food as the waiter came over and told me to enjoy my food while he cut up our children’s food.

Long time cruiser, but first time on Princess. We are booked in a Club Class Mini-Suite on the Royal Princess leaving SF on March 2. I have watched some You Tube videos for San Francisco departures and see that embarkation can be quite busy. According to the Princess web site we get “priority embarkation” as part of our Club Class fare. How does this work at the Port of San Francisco, or is this just marketing “fluff”? Thanks in advance!
We are elite on Princess, and we had a Club Class cabin, which means we should have had priority boarding on two accounts. We boarded in San Francisco last June. There was no priority on the security line. Once past security we were given priority for check in which may have saved us five minutes at most. Then they did have a priority seating area waiting for boarding to start, but it was not monitored, and anyone who felt like it sat in that area. The really bad part was once boarding started they gave no priority to anyone. They just opened the gate and it became a free for all.- 1

Have been on three Alaska cruises. Visited Glacer Bay three times.

We received a check for the correct amount on August 31st for a cruise that ended on June 9th. We finished another cruise on August 31st with yet another refund expected. I guess we should see it sometime in early November.

Wonder if your bus was to take us on our tour to Highlands Village. We were to meet at 12:50 and around 11:30 our tour was canceled due to operational reasons.
Yup that was the one! At least we finally got back safely. They told us they cancelled a tour so they had a bus to get us off the side of the road and back to the port.

We were on an excursion today to the Bell Museum. Fifteen minutes into the ride the bus broke down. We spent three hours on the side of the road before they got another bus to take us back to the port. Princess refunded what we paid for the trip plus a additional $100. Needless to say it was a very frustrating experience.

Sorry you had an issue with the airport shuttle. We live 30 miles from the port and took a local car service. Got to the port around 11:00 and was on board by 11:45. Looking forward to the M&G tomorrow morning.

We are on the same cruise. No impact for us as we are already double boosted. There is a lot of discussion on the cruise roll call about this.

It has been seven weeks since we disembarked. We received the statement the next day showing our refundable credit amount as "Referred to Corporate Finance". We are still waiting for the check.

We were on the Ruby recently and there was a very long list of movies and TV shows. Most were older, but a few were newer. Of course they had every episode of The Love Boat.

We were on a recent Ruby Alaska voyage. We masked everywhere except while in our cabin and eating. We never ate in the buffet. We were in the minority wearing masks, I would guess less than 20% of the passengers wore one. I tested positive three days after returning home. I wish Princess would restore the mask mandate!

We had booked an excursion in Victoria paying with non refundable credit. We did pay for excursions in other ports. I hope they reallocate the payments and give us the refund. They changed the time of a booked excursion in Juneau to reflect the adjusted arrival time. We are OK with the changes.

Thanks for the replies. It does have a QR code and shows all the vaccination doses. It shows dates, where they were administered, and lot numbers. Will probably bring the paper copy as a back up.

Is the NY Excelsior Plus Pass acceptable at the port (In California) or do we need the original paper vaccination cards? I asked this question in the COVID topic but received no answers.

We did this trip a number of years ago. I recall Princess expects you to spend time in Talkeetna before continuing to the lodge. They ran shuttle busses on a schedule for when you wanted to go to the lodge. There was also a boat trip which optionally dropped you off at the lodge with a short shuttle ride at that end. The train station is a block away from the center of town.

If you feel sick self test immediately. If it turns out positive notify the health department and don’t go anywhere till they respond.

So they had symptoms and went to get something to eat. How many other people did they expose? If you feel sick the first thing you should do is stay in your cabin and self test.

We are on a similar cruise and am wondering the same. Do we need to test within one day or three days? Do we need to fill out the visit Canada application?

On the last cruise I had just three months ago I used my I-Phone and I-Pad throughout the cruise, just not at the same time. When I went to switch it signed me out of the other device.
