If LA-Alaska is for sure, this is the first that I have heard of it ---- thanks! Do you know what day he/she will be calling you?
I'm not elite but she will let me know what ship on the day it opens up. I think it is 15th or 16th

I don't use a personal cruise consultant. Maybe someone who uses one could touch base with the consultant and ask if there is a possibility that there might be a LA-Alaska cruise???? Maybe they have heard something that has not been passed along to the TA. Just a thought.
My consultant is calling me next week with the ship and cruise dates for round trip LA to Alaska for 2022

Oh, how I hope that is true...and that one will be found!
They are going to name the ship Oct 6 and open the bookings for elites and then to others on oct 7. Sounds like it will be the Crown

I just got an email from Princess saying I can use my FCC from my cancelled Sun sailing for one of two cruises going from LA to Alaska in 7/3/21 or 7/17/21. I was originally scheduled for 7/17 so my plans are back on!
we are also going to keep this cruise

Here is the official press release for the Sun and the Sea
there goes another Alaska cruise I was so looking forward to canceled. I wonder when they are going to let me know. Both times I had a lot of extras added in

I called Princess and did get the specialty dinning added to my cruise and kept my other offer of shipboard credit.

When I booked Alaska 2021 it came with $150.00 pp shipboard credit. If I try to get the specialty dinning I would loose the shipboard credit. Make sure you are not loosing a perk when you booked just to get specialty dinning.

Would you mind telling me where would your cruise have embarked from? We were to have left from Vancouver on May 20, 2020 for a 14-day cruise to Alaska. Princess cancelled us and we are still waiting for a refund. Called Princess and all I was told was it was in the que. I asked if she could tell me where about in the que and she said, "no."
This was Los Angles and back to Los Angles

I got my money back on credit card June 18 for May 30 cruise to Alaska

I was told it can take up to 60 days for credit to show up on my charge. I did not cancel a cruise I changed my booking to the summer clearance sale and saved $2000

I wear black rubber sandals that have thick soles and rhinestones on the strap and have never had a problem with them.

Much to my dismay we did not have escargot on our last cruise. I look so forward to eating this, I was so sad! This was a California Coast cruise.
We had escargot on our coastal cruise on the Royal in Nov.

we just got off the Royal the lounge was for elite only. We did not get an invitation. We are platinum. I called and they said it was for elites. We were on the Coral last spring and they included platinum

I was booked on the 3 for free for Alaska but when the landmark sale hit I saved a lot. Also you can pay a little extra and make it a refundable if it says non refundable. I also check back often because they do have price drops.

I take a highlighter to mark the things I want to do on the ship in the daily paper they give you

just got back, our ship (Royal Princess) only got to 7-8 miles from the glacier, our small boat was 1/4 mile, but seemed closer
Excursion was well worth the money in my opinion.
Boat held app 100 people but they only take out app 50 so there is plenty of room
Did you see any wildlife? Bears?

It is a bus that just makes the loop for those attractions. We did the fortress and skipped the raptor center since we had been there before. It will say Fortress of the Bears.
thank you

Assuming that you are docked in Sitka you will be bussed from your ship to town. There will be another bus where they drop you off that will take you to the Fortress of the Bears and will also stop at the Raptor Center.....for a reasonable fee (around $10 pp, I think). It ran throughout the day and will return you to the pick up location......where you will meet the bus to take you back to the ship.
Would that be some kind of city bus or does it say that it is going to Fortress of the bears

You can do the Raptor Center, Fortress of the Bears, and the Totem park on your own. The dance would be included as part of a tour. I guess if it is raining the tour would be worth it!
I have walked to raptor center and totem park but did not know about the Fortress of the Bears. Please tell me how you did this on your own? Is it walkable or did you take some type of transportation.

Yes. He will be one of the two captains.
yes I know he is one of two captains bringing sky over but is he staying with that ship or returning to the west coast.
-
Capt Tuvo is the best captain we have ever had. I know he is bringing the sky over but is he staying on it ? He and his family live in Carlsbad ca. Will someone ask him if he is staying on the Sky.

The Landmark Sale has a non-refundable deposit so we wouldn't book on this sale.
We usually book on 3FF. It's almost had the best value until recently when we had a 3FF cruise re-fared at a lower price. Lost the pre-paid tips but the savings were greater overall.
You can pay a little extra and get refundable. We paid 30 a person extra to get refundable

That is not so we had to wait for them to announce a ship to Alaska when they sold the Sun. I'm hoping they will throw a few Alaska cruises in between costal and Mexico. That is what they were going to do on our 2021 cruise. ALWAYS CAN HOPE
