  1. Family suites do not get reserved seating in the theater.  Yes you do get a cordless phone that works all over the ship and even on shore to a limited range.  In any full suite, your menu is literally anything available on the ship.  Simply tell your butler what you desire.  You will have to pay if the item you want is an upcharge.

I took the FCC and am still happy about it.  I got a great deal on my cruise booked in September.  If I had taken the money back, I would have spent it on something dumb and now have nothing.  Instead, the FCC was a great downpayment on this years cruise.  Now just crossing fingers it actually goes.  I don’t care about wearing masks, I wear one 10 hours a day at work.  I don’t care about escorted excursions, this cruise I was looking at all NCL excursions anyway.  I don’t care about any of the restrictions at all, I just need to get on a ship!

After your cruise, if it sails, you will still have nothing.

Should have taken the money in the first place.  How does that 125% FCC look now?  NCL gave you all the option and most of you took the bait.   You all got the free money you were looking for inconvenience thinking that cruising will be back to normal soon.

Who could have though that prices may rise when cruising starts again.

Exactly right Jeff.   You can't squeeze blood from a turnip at this point.

  4. Currently there are no menus in any restaurant on any NCL ship.  NCL has not sailed in nearly a year and probably won't sail for at least another year, if they ever sail again.  I see NCL ships being sold off to the bigger companies by the end of the year. Sad but true.

  5. At this point, expect EVERY sailing to be moved, changed or canceled.  Nobody has any idea when or if cruising will ever happen again.  As the months roll by, cruise lines adjust for the expected future.  I have zero interest in booking a cruise right now.  I highly doubt NCL will survive.

  6. I recently spoke with a crew member I know from PI.  She told me many of her colleagues are being recalled.  She hasn't received the call yet, but it sounds like NCL is gearing up for some cruises around the first of the year.  I doubt NCL would go thru all this expense and trouble without some pretty strong evidence they will be able to board passengers.

I do not think that a COVID 19 vaccine, even one proven effective in clinical trials, is going to be the magical solution or the silver bullet that people think it will be.

You mean like the common flu vaccine we have that is very ineffective year to year?

I looked at the cruise that I have currently booked. If you go through the "promotion" the cruise is $1239 but you just price the cruise alone it starts at $859.

Shhhh, NCL doesn't want anyone looking behind the curtain.....

  9. Anyone with any common sense knows that NCL has inflated their prices right now to soak up all the FCC's in circulation.  If they can get some ignorant people to book at these ridiculous prices, even better.  The majority of people booking cruises now, that may or may not actually sail, are using their Monopoly money, aka, Future Cruise Credits.
