  1. We were just on Splendor in a penthouse B and there was no line in the shower.  Our room had no bathtub which is where we have seen the drying lines on other Regent ships.

There are other options like using hangers and putting them in the shower area.

  2. Everyone wants good value for their money.  I remember during the early days of the pandemic many of the crew weren't able to go ashore so they couldn't fly home.  They were stuck on the cruise ships for months and I am sure many of them decided to take other jobs   I found the Regent crew members to be smart and capable so they would have the easiest time finding other work..  Regent clearly had some issues early in their restart, but I am happy that the reports have improved dramatically. We have several upcoming cruises, but we are also realistic that everything won't be perfect.  It never is.  We can't wait to get back to cruising on Regent.

  3. Flossie,

I am enjoying your pictures and commentary on the Navigator.  I haven't sailed on her before, but know many like her over the Voyager or Mariner (which we have sailed before).  The lack of an 'observation lounge' has kept us looking at the other Regent ships.  You said there is a forward looking area near the front.  Is it like the pool deck where some areas are covered and others not?

I enjoyed meeting you on our Panama Canal cruise, and am looking forward to your further pictures and comments on this cruise.

  4. Uniworld had the Vienna concert on our Danube Holiday Markets Passau to Budapest cruise. This cruise started Christmas eve in Passau and ended New Years in Budapest. There was no extra charge for the Vienna concert. The excursion description was:

Featured Excursion: Mozart and Strauss concert at a Viennese concert hall. This evening, after an early dinner, you’ll enjoy yet another special treat: a visit to one of Vienna’s many famous concert halls for a night of beautiful Viennese music. No city is more famous for its composers than Vienna, and two are particularly dear to Viennese hearts: Mozart and Strauss. Settle into a seat in a hall with exquisite acoustics and enjoy a concert of pieces by these cherished composers. The evening concludes with a drive alongside the glimmering lights of the Ringstrasse on your way back to the ship.

  5. My wife and I have done a couple of Uniworld cruises on the Rhine and Danube. As mentioned, they are different from the larger Ocean cruises, but we enjoyed them immensely. The scenery while cruising and ports are wonderful. On Uniworld, the food was excellent, they were all-inclusive, except for a couple of excursions. The excursions were primarily walking, but the the groups were small and quite manageable. If you haven't visited the River Cruise part of CC, I highly recommend you check it out. There is a wealth of information (make sure you checkout the stickies along with the reviews). I am certain you will find many who can help you if you have questions. Happy Cruising!!!

  6. Thank you for taking the time to review your trip!!! I really enjoyed your posts.

Your detailed chronicle with stunning photographs brought back wonderful memories of New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur when my wife and I visited a couple of years ago. While we were there, we decided to return, and your chronicle reinforced that. We have sailed on Uniworld a few time and it's clear the Indian tours live up to their excellent standards.

  7. I frequently fly into and out of the Philly airport because of business in the area. It is not unusual for my flights to be delayed due to weather.

It's my understanding that the Philly airport is considered part of the the NYC airports (LGA,EWR, and JFK) air traffic control due to its proximity. Therefore, problems in the NYC area cause problems for Philly.

Therefore, Miami would be choice too.

  8. I second checking with ATT and their plans for Canada. Verizon has a plan which includes Mexico and Canada. If you don't do a data plan, make sure your phone has data roaming turned off in Canada or you could find a larger than expected bill. I am certain the ATT person can give you the options.

Enjoy you trip, the scenery will be wonderful

  9. I see you are from the UK, so I don't know if you need a visa for India. I suggest you contact your TA or Regent in the UK verify if a visa is needed and how to obtain it.

We flew directly to New Delhi on a pre-cruise excursion with Regent. Being Americans we were required to have a visa to enter the country and as Rallydave mentioned Regent uses a visa service in the US. All other countries visited from the ship requiring visas (e.g. UAE, Oman, Jordan, Egypt) were obtained by Regent for us while we were on the ship.

We had a wonderful few days in India and can't wait to return. Hope you have a wonderful trip.

    Bob
