We got off the regal last week and we had the sampler for dessert. My husband and I were so full we shared it. It was so good

Thanks for posting the room service menu. Looking forward to ordering room service on our February cruise
-
We did the Lower Dewey trail in June and we didn't notice any mosquitos.

We always ignore progressive check in and haven't had a problem. Princess seems to usually start boarding around noon. In transit passengers, Elites, Platinum, and then everyone else usually close to order of check-in.
Thanks for the info I was hoping we could board early other wise we will have to find a place to hang out after we check out of our hotel
-
I am waiting too we don't sail till the 13th. I was wondering about progressive check in. This is our first time on Princess and our documents state we should board at 2:30 I was hoping to be on before then.

Biking to Dyea is our main goal while in Skagway we are avid cyclists. If we have time I would like to see the Gold Rush Cemetery along with Lower Reid Falls and a possible hike to Lower Dewey Lake. Is it possible to ride to the Lake.
-
Thanks again Budget Queen We do plan on taking stops along the way. We kind of wanted a rough estimate on how long it would take us so we can plan our day in Skagway.
-
Thank you for the info Budget Queen. We were going to rent the bikes from Sockeye cycle also. I was hoping the road wasn't to busy I don't like riding on roads with heavy traffic. Do you remember how long the ride took you round trip?
-
Has any one done this? My husband and I would like to rent bikes in Skagway and do this on our own. Could any one tell me if the road is gravel or paved and how busy is the road? I have read that it is strenuous is it mostly uphill?

My husband and I are cruising to Alaska for the first time in June and in Skagway we are planning on renting bikes. But I would like a back up plan in case of rain. I was wondering if they are vendors by the dock in Skagway selling tours. Also I was thinking of the train as a possible back up plan can you buy tickets at the last minute

Sea cycles
in Alaska
I was wondering too about this tour. I have sent them two emails but no reply. I was wondering if we have enough time for the tour. We are in Ketchikan till 12:30 and the tour is four hours with the first tour at eight.

This will be our first Princess cruise. What are some of the items served at the Pub Lunch?

Bermuda is awesome. Went once and can't wait to go back.

We were on a cruise to Hawaii when I go to my husband there is somebody from Wisconsin wearing their Badger gear. Then all of a sudden my husband calls the person by name. It was his Dads cousin.

I agree with the mojito but also love the hurricane wave

I just cruised the miracle on my Birthday and I also got a card. We did not do the dining room on my Birthday but on the next day the waiters brought a piece of cake and sang Happy Birthday and we did not say anything about my Birthday.
-
It may depend on the order of your ports. We went to Cabo first and stayed on ship time. The next day was Puerto Vallarta and then we were told to move our clocks ahead. We cruised on the Miracle in January
-
we just got off the miracle and we were able to buy the rum cakes from the gift shop on aboard
-
currently it is icing right now and the roads are pretty slippery we will see what morning brings
-
Are you flying in the same day of your cruise?
No we are flying in a day early so we do have a little wiggle room and we also have insurance. We look at it this way we are on vacation and no work wherever we may be
-
It is my understanding that the cruise line will not allow you to board in some foreign ports unless mechanical issues with transportation, which you will have to provide proof. Same thing with insurance, they will not cover loss unless you provide written proof.
I will call Carnival and ask if we would miss the ship due to weather if we can catch it in Cabo
We are expecting snow and freezing rain tonight and our flight leaves early Saturday morning.
We are going to look in to a back up plan just in case.
Thanks for the well wishes

Has any body ever got on the ship at the first port of call because they missed the ship due to bad weather. Wondering if Carnival refunds money for the missed portion of the cruise. Leaving Saturday for the Miracle and the weather report isn't the greatest we do have insurance and are leaving a day early but just curious what would happen if we had to catch the ship in Cabo.

I was not aware of the former method that was in place for reaching a passenger on a Carnival ship. As we will be sailing beginning next weekend' date=' I had the same concern about having family, not traveling with us, who may need to reach us and wondering how they would be able to make contact.
Yesterday, I called the main number listed on the Carnival website and posed the question to them. The representative informed me that anyone needing to reach us would need the following... 1) Our booking number, 2) Ship name, and 3) our names. We were to ask family members to call: 800 227-6482 and to explain the need. Then, apparently, a message would be left on our stateroom phone providing the information that was delivered.
Hope that none of us will ever need to have our family or loved ones need to use this service, but at least it is good to know.
Hope this helps!
Happy cruising everyone![/quote']
Thanks for the info I appreciate it. Like you said hopefully no one will need to call but it is good for our family to have in the case of an emergency
-
Hope there is a way to be reached in a dire emergency. We usually leave the emergency shore-to-ship info with my daughter & his son just for peace of mind.
Don't really want to call to say "Is there an emergency yet".
Sparky2 I am with you I worry about my elderly mom and that is why I wonder if in a dire emergency there is a way to contact the ship
Is it possible to walk to cockburn town from cruise center
in Grand Turk
Posted
This is our first time to the Turks and was wondering if Cockburn town is close enough to walk too. Also is there anything worth seeing in town. Thank you
