Enterprise is the only rental place on Galveston. It was a short "Get Me" ride; similar to a taxi. Just the 2 adults renting cars would need to go and then they can drive back to the terminal and pick up the rest of your party.

Yes!! We ended up renting a minivan for 6 of us. We got a "one way" rental in Galveston. Picked it up at 9am (we took Get Me to car lot from terminal). Then we stored our luggage in the back and drove around Galveston. The one way rental wasn't any more than the shuttle for 6. It may not be affordable for 2 people. Let me know if you have any questions.

We have decided to snorkel at Edens Rock and walk around Georgetown. My question is.... is this all feasible to do on foot? We will be arriving on the Carnival Breeze and we were hoping just to walk from the port down to Edens Rock, rent equipment and let those who want to snorkel do so. Is there a place for the non-snorkelers to wait?? Afterwards we planned to wander around the town. Any suggestions on where to stop and what to see? Hoping to keep this port cheap! Maybe get back on board for lunch. Suggestions??

We will be cruising on the Carnival Breeze in a few months. We aren't flying out of Hobby until evening time and would like to spend the day exploring Galveston. Any suggestions for storing our luggage for the day??

Hi there,
We are planning a 7 day Caribbean Cruise next summer with our young adult children and a few other 40yr old couples. This will be our 5th trip to the Caribbean: 2 Bahamas, 1 Southern Caribbean and 1 Western Caribbean all sailed out of Florida. I'm hoping for some feedback on which is the BEST ship to sail on, which city to leave out of, and which ports are a MUST SEE!! I'm not a big fan of the new MegaPorts; I want to get out and see the islands. I'm considering the Breeze out of Galveston to change things up a bit; but we are really open to suggestions. I'm thinking one of the newer ships with more activities on board.... All ideas and thoughts are appreciated!!
Flying into Houston-cost of airfare? Notoriously expensive or is my friend wrong

We flew Southwest into Houston Hobby. It's a smaller airport with only a few lines flying in. But Southwest was very affordable. Not sure if they fly out of DC
