The executive Chef from the Spirit has just recently moved to the Carnival Legend I guess to get it ready for the australian market.

In February when the Spirit went to Tasmania they kept us in Hobart one extra day and missed Port Arthur due to predicted high winds. We just booked a car and drove down there for the day. Everybody else had the same idea. Car hire offices were in absolute chaos. Also on a trip to the South Pacific on the spirit they changed one of our stops from Mare to Lifou due to a fuel shortage on Mare. Carnival decided it would be a better experience for passengers to change and I am glad they did. Lifou was awesome. Some people were not happy....................not sure why? So I guess I learnt to go with the flow on a cruise and trust that all decisions are made to benefit the majority's safety and enjoyment.

No kettles in cabins . I have read that you can order hot water from room service. I just took a small thermos and used that.

Agreed once every one found out about these couple of machines they were constantly needing to be restocked and lines got longer. One day both of these machines broke down at the same time and I thought there was going to be a riot. Don't come between an aussie and a decent cup of coffee :)

I've been in cabin 8156 a couple of cabins away.
Pros - Large extended balcony with a nice overhang above which is great in bad weather.
Location is only one deck below Lido which is good if you want to grab a quick drink/coffee/pizza to take back to your cabin.
Great views of Circular Quay at beginning and end of cruise.
Cons - Noise from deck above . Located between the lido pools you hear chairs moving and people running heavily . Not as bad as you think as it's still muffled but noticeable. Didn't really worry me at all.

Hi ,
The chefs table is held on a sea day. Ours was on the second sea day on a 10 day cruise. An invitation will be waiting for you in your cabin after you check in. As far as booking shore tours fastest is on the TV when you board but quick if there is no queue at shore excursion desk.

Vista suites on the legend have two power points . One in the lounge area on the bench and one at the makeup table / desk on the side outside the bathroom.
