Has anyone recently taken a taxi from the Dover Train station to the cruiseport? Will the taxis be readily available at the taxi rank?
-
I didn’t realize there was a shuttle from the ship to the train station! Are reservations needed or do you just walk out to the shuttle and pay upon entering the shuttle? Do you know if there is also a shuttle on arrival from the Dover Priory Train Station to the ship?

How does the distribution of tender tickets work on Celebrity Infinity? We will be taking a California Coastal Cruise in September and will be tendering in Santa Barbara and Monterey. We will not be taking a ship excursion, but will be renting a car privately. How can we insure that we can get an early tender?

How does the distribution of tender tickets work on Celebrity Infinity? We will be taking a Pacific Coastal Cruise in September and will be tendering in Santa Barbara and Monterey. We will not be taking a ship excursion, but will be renting a car privately. How can we insure that we can get an early tender?

Thank you for your excellent review. We are on the Pacific Coastal with Infinity out of San Pedro this September. I am not too familiar with tendering. You mention that it was frustrating for some people. How long should we expect it to take to get off the ship?

I have never used Uber before. I will be in need of a ride from the car rental facility at LGB to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Pedro. Would it be cheaper to get a Uber than a taxi? Will the Uber pick me up right at the car rental facility at the Airport, or will we have to go back to baggage claim?

We just booked the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro for our cruise in September. What is the most economical transportation from Long Beach Airport to the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro for 2 people? Taxi, Shuttle, or Uber?

We booked a Hotwire Hot Rate Weekend Deal 3 1/2* for $99 and got the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro for 9/23/17

Is this no longer an active thread? I have been trying to bid on Priceline for a 3 1/2 star hotel in San Pedro for one night pre-cruise September 23, 2017. I haven't seen any recent bids on this thread. I can get this hotel as a Hot Rate Hotel on Hotwire for $102 a night plus fees. I am assuming this is the Crowne Plaza. I have been trying to bid $85 for several weeks now on Priceline. Am I trying too early? Should I be happy and settle for $102 a night with Hotwire?

We stayed a BW Golden Sails the nt. before our Jan. Hawaii Cruise. Airport p/u & cruise drop off. After cruise they p/u at dock. we slept there again & they took us to airport in the morning. Breakfast included & we walked to big grocery (Ralph's) for wine etc.
We were also looking at this hotel to stay pre-cruise in September. Do you know if you must book a special fly and cruise package to get free airport shuttle and free port shuttle, or is this available with any room booking? We will be arriving into Long Beach Airport after 8pm the night before our cruise and will be cruising out of the San Pedro Port the next morning. Do you know if the shuttle operates that late at night?

Is there a difference between the two beaches of S. Frigate Bay and South Friars Beach?

Thank you for posting this. I would love to get the PDF. My email Pauline02@aol.com.

We will be renting a car post-cruise for 6 hours before our flight home. Plan to visit a beach and eat a nice lunch before going to the airport late afternoon. Does anyone know if there are tolls around the Ft Lauderdale area and by the airport that would make purchasing the Sunpass option through the car rental company necessary? If so, can we just pay cash at the tollbooth or is it only electronic tolls? There are 6 of us and it is cheaper for us to rent a car for the day. Thank you

Will be on the Allure this summer with a 9 year old and 11 year old. Are beverages for children free throughout the ship? Specifically, milk and apple juice.
-
We booked our Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Allure several months ago. I now see Royal Caribbean is having a promotion that offers $300 on board spending and Free internet. We booked through a Travel Agent. Do you know if it's possible to get the new promotion added to our booking?

Does anyone know the nearest beach to Dolphin Discovery at Bird Rock, St Kitts? Would like to do the Dolphin Discovery early in the day and then spend the rest of the day at a public beach. I spoke with someone from Dolphin Discovery, who told me there is a public beach 15 minutes from Dolphin Discovery, but didn't know the name. Looking for a white beach on the Caribbean preferably.

I am taking train up and bus down. So should I sit left on train up and right on bus down?

We are taking the Holland America transfer bus to the Anchorage airport after our July cruise. We are then renting a car from the airport for the day. Our flight is at 8:40pm. We then won't have to worry about storing our luggage.
-
We are staying at a B&B at the beginning of July. It does not have air conditioning. What is the weather and temperature during this time period? Not sure if I should cancel and book somewhere that does have air conditioning.
-
It's the Westin Wall Centre Vancouver Airport Hotel, $89.30 (+18.35 taxes and fees) for standard room for 1 night on a Saturday night in July.
-
Has anyone ever used Cruise Compete to book a hotel pre-cruise? Looking at Vancouver and the rates are unbelievably low.
-
We are planning to fly in one day early for our cruise in July 2015 on HAL. Has anyone used the cruise package with this hotel in Vancouver? Includes taxi from airport to hotel, Shuttle to Downtown, Ferry to Granville Island, Hot Breakfast, and shuttle to Canada Place the next morning.

Is anyone else having trouble getting onto the Chilkoot website? I am ready to book but unable to get onto the website.
-
We will be in Skagway in July 2015 and thinking of doing the Chilkoot Yukon Rail/Bus Excursion. In your opinion, is it better to do the rail up first or the bus up first? Also, it it true that it is better to sit on the left side up and the right side back?

My husband and I, 67 and 68, are cruising on Carnival March 2025. The quotes from Insuremytrip is more than double the Carnival Trip Protection, obviously because of our ages. What has been other senior’s experience with obtaining a reasonably priced cruise insurance?
