DH, myself and our 6 month old baby are planning on taking a cruise this Dec. Thinking about the southern/eastern caribbean itinereary on the carnival liberty. Has anyone taken an 8 month old baby on this itinerary? I've read a lot of posts on the ship itself, but not many on the port excursions. What kind of excursions are doable with a baby? The ship seems to stop at the following ports:
San Jan, PR
St. Thomas, USVI
Bridgetown, Barbados
St Lucia
St Kitts
St Maarten
We're into general sightseeing, and anything nature (Love taking hikes with baby in a carrier). Can we rent a car and drive ourselves in any of these places? Or, is it better to take a taxi, or organized tour? I'm not a big fan of a big bus tour where we're rushed and cannot accommodate to baby's schedule. We would much rather have our own vehicle, so we can take our time.
Carnival Liberty Southern Caribbean with Baby: Trip Report Dec 2015!

Hi Cruisers!
I'm a bit behind on my trip reports, so apologies! I went on the Carnival Liberty in Dec 2015, on the Southern Caribbean route (San Juan, St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, and St. Maarten). Travelers were my husband, me (both 30s) and 1 yr old baby daughter. I've written up my report here: http://pandstravel.blogspot.com/2015/12/southern-caribbean-cruise-in-dec-2015.html
Let me know if anyone has any questions on traveling with a baby on a cruise!
