We came off The Reflection yesterday & must admit we thoroughly enjoyed our time onboard. I would have no hesitation in recommending this ship.

Just had confirmation from our TA about the revised itinerary.

Hi - we booked direct with Celebrity on board so there is no middle man for us!
Realistically in your case it is likely to be your travel agent in the UK. When this happened to us a few years ago our travel agent rang us to confirm a port change.
Thanks for that we will wait with baited breath ;)

Reeled in good and proper!
That's 2 of us :D

Still nothing from Celebrity we fly out on Friday and no disrespect to the OP but I want to here it from them. Looking at the itinerary 6 days have now changed which I think is way over the top. We have booked restaurants, car hire and excursions with very little time to change. We are likely to be out of pocket as a consequence and as per another poster we paid a premium for this itinerary anyway. Not a happy bunny.............
We too paid a premium price but that was the risk we took over 12 months. We to would like to hear something from Celebrity and as our surname begins with B I would thought we would be pretty high on the list. If we weren't members on here we would be non the wiser. Who will contact us do you think Celebrity or our TA, if it's the latter they've had their cut so it's highly unlikely we will hear anything.

What a great read, thanks for sharing. It's certainly giving us food for thought on avoiding those flying machines.

Haven't read the thread but we went there in 2013 on Infinity and the whole experience was awesome. We were blessed with calm seas and fantastic weather. For me it was the best holiday I've ever had.
-
Yes it'll work very well. The premium package does cover a reasonable selection of red & white wines throughout the ship. With this package for a extra $1 or so per glass an even larger selection is available.

Congrats to her and Celebrity, it will be nice to have a Captain who we can understand when announcements will be made.
That made me really laugh out loud :D

Have to admit Eclispe is our favourite ship in the Celebrity fleet. The new refit is really good we were impressed.

We only book Aqua as we enjoy the Blu experience so much. Yes the tables are close together but have never had any problems with the food or service. The Maitre d & Hostess are always around making sure their customers are happy. As for the yoga & meditation for some reason I've always given that a miss. To the OP book you won't be disappointed.

Thanks Celebrity for the input. Not before time, hopefully soon it'll be running as efficiently as your cruises do.

We have just returned a couple of weeks back its a great trip. A couple of new countries as well for us. One of the highlights was sailing out of Stockholm and seeing the archipelago.

Have been reading other posts about their great cruise to Alaska on the Celebrity ships.
Thanks for weighing in after your cruise.
I think I will raise an Alaska cruise higher up on my bucket list.:)
We are the same the more we read visa vie Alaska the more we will be booking a cruise there sooner rather than later.

Did you ask for curries?
We did (Eclipse in February) and they were happy to oblige!
No we didn't but you can guarantee we will in future. Thanks ;)

Having just spent 15 nights aboard The Eclipse dining in Blu we were happy enough with the food. However on the last night there was a special of Chicken Marsala which both my wife & I agreed was the best meal we had on the cruise. Given the head chef in Blu is Sri Lankan were just hoping that there will be more curries on offer on future cruises.

We always eat in Murano for the Dover Sole. Also the Scallop Wellington was excellent. Washed down with a nice Sancerre :D

What an excellent thread with some well thought out posts. I can only concur that indeed Celebrity need to look at the menus in the MDR or Blu & implement some changes. I particularly like the idea of a couple of specials on the menu appertaining to the local area that the ship is visiting at the time.

We book the cruise because of the itinerary not for who's the Captain or whatever. Don't get me wrong I'd be very happy if Maria was the host in Blu the next time we are on The Eclipse.

Have booked an Aqua class cabin, looking forward to dining in Blu. Read great reports above the food and the service in there.

Hi Catherine
You'll love The Blu restaurant on The Eclipse. You've read correctly the food & service are excellent as is the actual room with huge windows bringing the sea to you. We are also booked in Aqua next June to The Baltics.

Personally after a fantastic evening meal who could possibly want more food till breakfast. There's already the temptation to over indulge at normal meal times any more food & I'd never get through the cabin door.

Have a great cruise ;)

For those traveling by air one bit of advice I'll give is this. When we get to the security point, where the X-ray machines are before we put our things through the machine one of us goes through & waits as if there's a delay ie someone sets the machine off your passports, wallets etc are just sat there & anyone could pick them up & walk off with them.
Blu Dining not for us

Having eaten in 3 different Blu restaurants on Eclipse, Infinity & Reflection we have found the standard to food was different on each ship. Eclipse is without doubt the best in our opinion. My biggest gripe is after so many cruises the menu is starting to get a bit boring. Celebrity needs a rethink on the menus.
