We stayed there in Nov 2021. It’s a very nice hotel and has a great restaurant. Rooms were spacious and staff very friendly. We left our large bags at the hotel after arriving in Rome, travelled for a week and then went to the hotel for one night before taking the NCL transfer to cruise port. Just beware, my husband is disabled, we were told when we checked in for the transfer, the day we stayed at the hotel, that we should bring our bags downstairs in the morning and the next time we saw them would be in our cabin. Not true. We had to (meaning me) collect our bags when we got off the bus and muscle them all around the building and inside. No wheelchairs were available outside the port building and no porters to help. I’m not complaining, just want make it clear about what to expect. We loved the hotel, the restaurant, the transportation was good and our Transatlantic awesome.
Thank you for the information. I'm traveling with my teenage granddaughter and one glad the hotel was nice. We will only be there for one night and will be taking the NCL transfer as well. It's good to know what to expect about our bags. We plan to see some sites after we arrive the day before our cruise.

I think HOHOs in general work best in newer cities, like New York or Paris (new being a relative term here) that don't have ancient, small centers, or older cities that have been destroyed and rebuilt with something other than foot or horse traffic in mind.
Rome is so easy to see on your own. You can follow the pedestrian path from the Trevi fountain to Piazza Navona, safely avoiding cars and buses while seeing the heart of the city.
Euro cruiser, Is there a pedestrian path from the Golden Tulip to Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona?

Thanks. We are only there one night. Glad to know it will be an easy walk.

We are booked here through NCL in May. Has anyone stayed at this hotel? What was your experience? Also, is it walkable to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc?

I haven't cruised since before COVID. I know in the past some cruise lines would offer a discount on the soda package on the first day of the cruise. Does NCL offer an on board discount the first day on board? Thanks for your help.

I have sailed on Carnival and Norwegian and I know that Carnival allows you to bring canned soda on board. Does Norwegian allow you to bring a small amount of soda on board?

I don't know. Just got a text from family on the Dream who said he just made that announcement.

The captain on the Dream just announced the Port of New Orleans will be closing at noon tomorrow. The ship won't be back on Sunday.

Thanks. I was afraid there might have been floods or mud slides in the mountains that would interfere with some excursions.

Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Wondering if ships ported in Jamaica this week after Matthew went by the island. If so, how were the excursions? Supposed to stop there next week and wanting to make plans.

Will be cruising next week and wondering if anyone has ported in Jamaica this past week following Matthew. If so, how were the excursions? Any info appreciated.

Would love to hear more of your trip. We are leaving in two weeks for the same adventure.

I had thought about the cuddle duds. I will add them and a pair of gloves to my stack. My spare bedroom looks like a department store. So many different things for all seasons. Two weeks and we'll be in Vancouver.

Thanks for the replies. I plan to start packing tomorrow. Hope it's 70 and sunny everyday.

Hey Guys, We are leaving from Vancouver July 6 for 13 days. Sailing up and disembarking in Seward. How is the weather in July? Wondering if I should pack jeans or capris.

We were on the Dream two weeks ago and no problem with the AC. My husband is always hot and he never complained once.
-
There is no sushi bar on the Dream. They do offer sushi one night in the main dining room.

Thanks Lee. I'll check it out.

Thanks for the info. Anyone been there when it was Bannister? Good or bad beach? I'm really struggling with what to do and it will not be cave tubing.

We will be on the Dream in a couple of weeks and just checking out excursions on the Carnival site. Saw an excursion to Starfish Island and it has no reviews. Wondering if anyone has been there and what it is like. Really struggling with what to do in Belize.

Just finished reading your review. Thanks for sharing. Was considering the southbound route but will probably switch to northbound. Please share any more tips you may have.

Planning a cruise tour to Alaska. Have seen several options and need reviews about the best and the worst. Thanks in advance.
