I have to cancel my 12 day cruise on Celebrity unfortunately I did not release I booked a non refundable deposit $950 but I was made aware I can change at time of cancelling to another date my question is since I am canceling a 12 day can I apply the remaining deposit to any length cruise or will it have to be  comparable to what Im canceling, basically due to unforeseen expenses I would like to downgrade to a less expensive cruise thus why I have to cancel…. Please help with info

I hope someone can help, I recently booked a celebrity 12 days cruise, with cruises only Apparently I booked a non refundable deposit if I cancel ( which I do) I wasnt aware thsts the rate I chose. The deposit was 950.00!! From what I am reading I can change to another cruise and pay 100pp per person, my question is does it have to be a 12 day cruise or can I apply the deposit to any other Celebrity cruise losing 200 is better then losing 950 I am hoping they will allow be to book like a 6-7 day cruise later on perhaps even in 2025? Any info would be greatly appreciated TIA !

The only advice I can give you about destination weddings (especially during hurricane season, which includes July) is that you sometimes may miss a port/ports due to weather, mechanical issues, or medical emergencies. While on Splendor in 2017 we had a mechanical issue while in San Juan, and missed 2 ports as we had to head back to Miami for repairs. There were 2-3 couples that were to be married on one of the islands we missed, and it was terrible seeing how upset they were. One of the couples had family waiting on the island, as they had flown in for the wedding. I know 2 of the couples got married on the ship. As long as your brother has a contingency plan, and can go with the flow (and his bride to be, also!) in the event of not making Amber Cove, great!

Hi, hoping to get advice and or any feedback about getting married at Amber Cover Port...We have family in the DR that Can not cruise but hoping to meet at the Port we are just looking into a small ceremony and then party on the ship!! Any advice or feedback would greatly be appreciated:)

Perhaps you all can lend some advice. My brother just booked a bunch of cabins on the Truimph For July 2019 👏🏻👏🏻. In hopes to get married at Amber Cove one of the ports the cruise docks in. The Brides mother and Aunt Live not to far from Amber Cove and she would love them to attend the ceremony. He asked me to help and try to gather as much info as I can!! would it be easier to get married on the ship or at Amber Cove ? I read that Amber Cove does weddings but that’s as far as I got, would her mother and Aunt be allowed to attend if they got married in port or at Amber Cove? I really don’t even know where I should begin or contact to start making arrangements! The guest are only about 15-20 people.. Any Help with ideas and or advice would be greatly appreciated ...TIA:)🏝🤞🥂🍾

Just off the Gem have to sorry for those who plan to sail on it I wish I had better news to report..food was nothing to write home about in either of the main dining rooms whether it was lunch or dinner, the food was much better on the breakaway, we did eat in Cagneys good was better but it cost us an additional 200.00 everything is a la carte !! ... twice I asked the staff for directions they looked at me lime I was from Mars not a word of English did they speak or understa, the ladt day we did do the murder mystery lunch st the Bistro for a fee it was quite entertaining the , almost forgot the first night on tbe ship we had to take showers by flashlight because the light was out and they didn't come to fix it until the following day !!the beddings were pilly and omd mine actuslly had s stain on them had a big stain on it!! No one commanded the hot tubs kids contsantly in them, babies in pool without diapers ,no monitoring kids not using the serving spoons , they did not inforce tbe use if the antibacterial soap of your hands while everyone was entering the dining room !!! had one girl spraying hands but people walked right by her, tbete was no monotoring of chaige lounges , people through their towels on the lounge chairs and never shsin yo be seen ,We had a family balcony cabin and no where was it written or told that when they turn down the beds you had to become a contortionist to access the balcony!!! We had it all planned to celebrate my daughters bday in the Main dining room told and gave the waiter( on the down low so my daughter didn't see the voucher for the cake) so when dinner was over the asst waiter comes to our table and says this is a free cake where to you want it!!!! So much for the surprise or sing happy bday!! Needless to say very very disappointed with NCL , they dropped the ball on this cruise for sure .. Hopefully who ever is sailing on it next has a better experience!!!

I also am booked on the 12 day Ncl cruise apparently being switched to a 14 day cruise😎. I booked through Cruises Only for 1/17/16 . My sister and her friends booked the same cruise only through a smaller travel agency, she and her friends all received notification of the change on July 24 !! Which came directly from Ncl to their travel agency so why today July 27 when I called Cruises Only today no one knew what I was talking about, So they called NCL and get this after about a half hour on the phone there reservation department also knew nothing either!!! They asked if I had a copy o f the letter that was sent to the other travel agency and received and if I could email it to them to see if was a legit letter REALLY? What's going on there? After the person looked over the letter with their manger they confirmed it was legit (ridiculous) and that the reservation department hadn't been notified yet !!!..How can their system not be updated and people are still able to book the cruise and the two day cruise(which I assume is being cancelled) prior to the sailing is still being sold??? Sounds totally unorganized! Even though it's only two more days don't they realize people have to plan accordingly..Hope they update their information soon so we are all on the same page . Who else will be sailing that week, 1/17/16 my husband and I are part a group of about 25 that can't wait to have a awesome vacation🌴🌴 !Should be a great relaxing trip!!
