I lied, I moved. Went to Loft 19 about 1. Danggit I paid for access to this area with my cabin fare, I need to use it! Found a shaded lounger by the spa. Then bar service came around! I like this! And a lady with chilled towels! Do you know how good a Funship tastes while sitting in a “warm tub” with a chilled towel on your neck? This is the life.
Cabanas  are not filled up, but I think that’s because it’s a port day. Now, I need some lunch.

I love the funship drinks! They are so good!

At least on Mardi Gras and Celebration, Chibang, Cucina, and Guys are extensions of MTD, so if you are on assigned dining, you can't eat in those restaurants until after 7:30.

Okay 730 isn't terrible. Someone on FB said after 9pm. I was like good grief! That's not time for anyone else to eat, after all the reservations are taking by ATD

  3. Right now we have early dining for our Jubilee cruise next Feb. I'm thinking about switching to anytime but not sure. I read that with anytime, you can request reservations at the other restaurants, earlier times, than if I have scheduled dining. Can anyone elaborate on this?

I really wanted same wait staff every night, but the thought have possibly not being able to eat at other locations other than MDR, I'm not sure.

Note to self: it makes Chris (my dear hubby) angry when I examine my hair for split ends, then pull out my tiny scissors I carry in my purse, and start trimming them in “his” car. I offered to vacuum the dang thing out, so what’s the harm?? He then informs me that to stop this behavior he’s pulling off to let me drive…so I inform him that is unacceptable, he’s my chauffeur, and that is the only reason I allow him to come along on these cruises. The car is now silent…he’s still driving…did I win?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I mean he's still driving....and you're still in your way south....so I'd say yes. 😂😂

If you like "basic" cocktails, and you are not picky about the alcohol used, then you will be fine with the regular (basic) package.  Those priced over $15, will be charged the difference.

Example: Most martinis are $17(or more). You would be charged $2.00+, plus 20%, additional per drink.

Awesome.  That is what I thought.  Thank you 🙂

  6. What cocktails are included in the Free at Sea drink package?  I found the list of beers, spirits, wine and such....but cannot for the life of me figure out what actual cocktails are included?  I'm trying to see if it's worth it to upgrade to the premium package.

Forgive me if this has been asked, but i've searched and cannot find an answer.

Why would you? All cruises have fans, just ask your cabin steward for one.

Because I didn't know I could ask for one.  Thank you for that information.

4 cruises since the restart, all from Galveston: Requested a loaner fan from the room dude, delivered before dinner first night. As well as extra pillows, bath robe. and ice twice a day. I think the fan size limit is 12 inches if you bring your own.

Awesome.  Thank you.  I didn't know I could ask for one.  We will do that then, it's easier than toting it.  Also, didn't know we could ask for a bath robe, thought those were for Suites only.  We will ask for ice twice a day definitely.  I'm actually trying to figure out what I can take for them to put ice in.  We go through a lot of ice.

On our last cruise my daughters cabin was a bit stuffy. She complained and they brought a nice big fan to her cabin right away free of charge. I’d do that instead of packing a bulky fan.

    Great!  Thank you.

Yep.  This is the one we’ve taken the past couple of cruises.  It’s $20 from Walmart.

I always bring a fan.  It measures about 10 x 10 X 6.  It plugs in and i carry it on in my beach bag. Never had a problem bringing it on board. Got it in Walmart for $15.

Money well spent, as it provides very good air flow as well as decent noise.

Awesome!  Thank y'all.  This is exactly what I was looking for.  This one seems smaller than ones I was looking at on Amazon.  It's flatter, so I think this one will be easier to carryon.

Yes, my family uses Raise gift cards all the time for both the cruise deposit and onboard expenses.

Do you put the gift card on your account before you get on the ship?  Or do you have to wait until your on the ship?

  10. Saw recently someone mentioned to save some money, to get a Carnival Gift Card from Raise.  Has anyone done that before?  It's not much of a savings, seems like right now its 8%, but if its a good place to get cards from, I was going to go ahead.  Thanks y'all.

Sounds like the deal my husband got and it was a casino offer. Super low rates and $100 on board credit. We booked for April and July! 😀

I had the same issue last month on my cruise. I contacted the casino and they told me what offer I booked under and what casino credits I had. I even had “drinks on us” in the casino and all over the ship. It’s a good thing I checked.

We have had two cruises recently at very discounted rates. They were casino offers that included "drinks on us" while playing in the casino. Is that what you could be thinking of?

Drinks on us means you can get free drinks while playing in the casino. This offer also included some fun surprises left in our room several times during the cruise: a huge fluffy beach towel (to keep), a big beach tote bag, a plate of cookies.

Would probably be best to call and ask what rate you booked and what perks that includes. But you could also just ask on board. Go to guest services, or speak to a casino host on the first day of the cruise to see if you have any added perks.

    Happy sailing!

I will definitely do that.  I'll try to call them first.  It just threw me off because i've never been in the casino before ever.  And it didn't even dawn on me what it might be until I read someone else's post about their Casino offer.  Thanks y'all.

I'm not so sure your OBC is $100. If the offer was for $50 OBC, that is usually $50 per cabin, not per person.

It was $50 per person.  I do see that part on my booking confirmation.  It says $100.00 total.
