We are cruising on the Empress of the seas on Dec.9th, and I haven't seen anything on FNDR ( First Night Done Right). Is it a thing of the past? We have done this many times on past cruises. Its great to buy one and get one free Specialty dinning for the first night. Its was a nice way to start off the cruise.

All I can say is WOW!!!. Thank you so much for this review, we are booked along with my parents for the Dec.9 sailing. One of my favorite things to do at night,is to go look out at the sea from the front of the ship. I am so happy there is a great place to do this. Those milky way pictures where just amazing, thanks so much for sharing. I have never sail on a ship this size, but your review has got me so much more excited. Please keep it up and the more details you can give us the better. I do have on question how much does the ship rock compared to RC bigger ships?

So I had something interesting happen to me on our last cruise. When we sailed out of Galveston on 4/22, my wife and I both had a bottle of wine in each of our carry-ons. Well, we went though security and after I passed my bag though,the officer ask if I had a bottle of wine, I said yes I did, so he then tells me to go over to a table with a RC guy sitting behind it. The guy then asked me to take out my wine he then he took it,wrote down my name and room number from my set sail pass, took out a big roll of tape wrapped it around my bottle and wrote our cabin number on it. He then proceeded to put my bottle behind the table on the floor with about 10 other bottles, mind you this was pretty early still around 10 am. I asked what will happen to my bottle, he said they would deliver it to our cabin tonight. I didn’t get the bottle till 9:30 that night, I wanted to take it to chops that night, oh well. Oh and by the way they said nothing to my wife and she just carried our other bottle on, no problem. It was kind of annoying because it took like 5 mins for the guy to do his thing. Has this ever happen to anyone else?

We just enjoyed an awesome cruise on Liberty of the Seas, and had a great time being entertained by Charlie Jourdan. His guitar talent and repertoire is quite phenomenal. We were amazed at how tough it was for the crowd to come up with a request he couldn't play. Hats off to Charlie:)

Do you know how long he is onboard for?

They assign a restaurant, but you can change ionboard, space permitting.

This was the first thing we did when we got onboard, we stopped at Chops and ask to have our dinner there with FNDR, and they said no problem. Also it’s nice because it’s right at the entrance of the Windjammer, so after we where done, we went over and had lunch.

Cheaper than A and W (popular Cdn chain ) or McDonalds!

Yes, when I am already paying for food that is much better in the MDR. They have a great burger on their lunch menu and it’s free. I went there when it was $7, thought that was a lot. By the time my DW, DD and I ate with tip,it’s over $30, that’s Applebee’s prices, LOL. Now it would be over $40, I will just stop there and get my BOGO milkshake and eat it as I walk.

LOL! Ok I got you, but that’s really cool they got to go early. Their videos are so cool, I hope they got the whole trip for free. If I could have a cruise like the one you had on Adventure, I would definitely use Our two suitcases as my TA.:D
