I think it’s just a matter of the world coming out of a lockdown.

People just letting their hair down a celebrating their lives coming back to normal.

As with all things in life, some are just pushing it too hard.

    I agree.

    Is there a cruise jail??

A solution would be out at the next port with an escort to the nearest airport. And a hefty bill too.

The dog is not trained to alert you if the child gets out of bed?    There are systems for alerting if a person gets out of bed or steps on a mat in front of a door.

Yes he would, but she is quick and runs so need to have backup too.

I'm curious...does the assistance dog help to open the door somehow?

No he mainly acts as an anchor, our little girl is an extreme eloper, when we are out and about she is harnessed to the dog so we can walk around without her running away, it keeps her calmer and focused. He's also therapeutic.

The door handle is I am trying to figure out a portable child lock as our little girl could run away from the room during the night.

We were on Deck 9 on the Odyssey and it opened out...took us a couple of days to get used to it.

    * See you on the Voyager .

We will be the crazy family with the assistance dog. 😃

So door could open in or out but door handles definitely move down? That's a help thanks.

  5. Hi there

We are cruising with our 5 year old autistic child who is at extreme risk of elopement. We will have our assistant dog who acts as an anchor when we are out and about, but when in the cabin she will probably be able to open the door. Anyone know of portable door locks that would work? We have seen the alarm ones but shes so fast we would prefer a lock that she can't open.

    Any advice welcome.

It could be other reasons as well. All of the Voyager sailings in Europe this year have received offers, so timing is not it (usually within about 75 days of sailing). Sometimes only the first person listed on the booking gets the offer - if two different last names are listed on the booking, try the other one. Go directly to the site and try it.

Thanks but no joy. We are on voyager this summer..Happy with our cabin anyway so it dosnt matter.

  7. What currency do you tip in  - When we sailed from Florida it was easy with dollar bills

In Europe you have euro and would end up using coins?

We are from Ireland so the norm is to round a bill up but how would this work on the ship when everything goes on your bill. I don't mind tipping but €5 (the first 'paper' money) would seem a lot for one drink

Is it ok to tip with coins  - seems strange?
