  1. First cruise on Princess next year - trying to understand how to sign up for dinning.  We would like "Anytime dinning".  We did get the drink pkg so will be picking two dinners but always want the anytime dining for the other.  I have called Princess twice and stated what I want but due to a language barrier am unsure if they understood.  Is there any place to view what I picked?  I am use to Carnival where it is stated on your confirmation.  Any help would be appreciated.

  2. I have been booked for this cruise since January - Barcelona/France/Italy.  Final payment not due until February 2021 but saw that Vision of the Seas would be moving to the Caribbean next summer.  Looked on line and still showing the cruise I booked on as available.  Probably not going due to medical reasons, but wondered what others have heard.  Hopefully I can move it out a year otherwise I guess my deposit is gone.

  3. We have cruised with children and now grandchildren.  Eastern/Western are both good - though I prefer the beaches on the eastern.  With a child that young excursions can be limited.  A beach day is always perfect - make sure you bring some water wings for her.  The kids club  is only for specific hours so you will have plenty of time to play with your daughter.  We had one grandchild that hated the kids club - she ended up with us all week and we still had a great time.  A lot of wonderful memories!

  4. On a RC cruise next May - none of the excursions take us to the real statue of Michelangelo.  Can anyone suggest a tour from the cruise port that would work.  We want to see Pisa also.

  5. Just got back from a Carnival Cruise - thinking about Royal C. next time. A few questions. Do they play games around the pool with the cruise director? Granddaughter had a lot of fun this year on Carnival Can anyone tell we the differences between the two. She loved the dancing, etc. She is not crazy about the shows.

  6. We were at the late seating - food was good, just the wait was really long. Lots of empty tables around us by the end of the week. Guess they ate in the back of the ship. I like a good comic also, he just stepped over the line. Some people got up and left. I would have also but my granddaughter was still there with some friends and not at our table. I should have pulled her out. She knew we were upset and came and talked to us afterwards. She said that the worst one that week and the others did not discuss what he did. I hope Carnival will listen to my complaints and review what is allowed and what is not.

  7. My husband, granddaughter were on the Valor June 25th. We are almost at platinum level. Would like to say this was the best cruise but can't. The staff was great but had to wait a long time for dinner to be served. Think there were problems in the kitchen because the staff was actually almost running to try to get the food to you as quickly as possible. Entertainment was fine except for the Comedy Club. Went in one night and there was a guy there from NC - started out funny (yes we were warned it was R rated) but then it went down hill from there. Nothing but porno - he discussed things I cannot even put in this review. Carnival needs to review the acts better. Went in the dance club one night (had been going on/off all week). On the 6th night of our cruise a girl backed her boyfriend up against the rails and immediately started a lap dance on him. She got the results she wanted but to think that my granddaughter was in there really upset me. I asked the guards when it started becoming a strip joint. Yes I have written Carnival - will have to think twice about them in the future.

  8. Wondered if there is a place close by the port that is great for dinner - something fun (we will have my 18 year old grandaughter with us. Also can she go into the casino's?

  9. We buy Walmart Equate Brand motion sickness pills. We were on the Big Red Boat years ago and went thru a hurricane. All 5 of my family did not get sick about the only ones on the cruise that didn't. We did start taking 2 days in advance to get in our system. As the ships have gotten larger I no longer take any medicine, we just make sure the grandchildren do.
