They need ginger beer for the Mules in Waves, but I don't think it's in other bars...ask though.
Thanks, quite like a ginger beer shandy, very refreshing 🍻

Never heard of Ginger wine
They may have ginger beer but I have not seen any on the cruises we were on
I suspect it may be a British thing. Stones (or at a push Crabbies) ginger wine. Quite sweet and fiery. Can be put in a whiskey mac

Slightly random question but does anyone know if the ship stocks ginger wine? Or ginger beer for that matter. Not ginger ale, totally different thing.

Pease, steak and kidney or queen of? 😂

Nolan left Viking in mid-cruise in the Philippines, then joined and left Silver Seas while cruising had been halted. He is now working in the mortgage industry and living (very happily) in Johnson City, Tennessee, where he now has full custody of his daughter. We sailed with Nolan (and his then-fiancée, Elle Adda) several times. He was our favorite CD and we certainly miss him. We've been in touch with him since he left the industry -- which is how we know he is very happy.
That’s good to hear. As a Brit I found him very funny and approachable, his fiancé was a fantastic singer really friendly.

I really liked Nolan Deane but he seems to have left the company

We did Venice to Venice on silversea this October. Sailed out of and into fusina. Had to check in at the cruise terminal in Venice. Not a very pleasant experience. The cruise terminal is very run down and checking in was chaotic, no one knew what was going on, bags randomly left outside. 40 min coach drive to fusina to board the ship. Same thing in reverse when we returned. Not a great way to start a cruise

Again, thanks for your advice

Thanks flyertalker, that’s very clear except what is TBIT?

Thanks guys, yes I’ve seen the phone numbers but I would rather email but I haven’t seen any addresses

Thanks again all. Have been trying unsuccessfully to find contact details of hotels in Papeete to enquire about day passes but cannot find any emails for the hotels. Very frustrating. Does anyone have the email address for the Hilton, also any idea of the cost for a day pass?
Second question, we fly into LA on a virgin/Air France flight then fly out on Air France to Papeete. Will we need to get our luggage and go through security again?
-
Thanks guys really helpful. Booked through oceania so I assume they must be ok with us flying in on the day. The boarding does sound a nightmare so I think I may do as jondfk suggests

Hi, guys, we are doing a cruise out of Papeete in April. Our flight is due to arrive about 5.30 am but boarding is at 1.00pm. What are the Oceania arrangements for this period?
Thanks in advance for any info/advice

Silver Dawn on the 2nd October Beardedshark as long as flights go ahead and antigen test negative 🤞
Yep although we are flying out on 3/10 ridiculously via Zurich!

Our TA told us today we have to book an antigen test 48 hours before we embark in Venice and then are in Corfu quite a few days later. It does seem very strange.
I suspect we are on the same cruise in 4 weeks. That is how I understand it, test 48hrs before boarding in Venice using a monitored test. Seems a bit silly really but those seem to be the rules

I have had the same email for our cruise in October

Thanks KJ. Really enjoyed your reports. Thanks for flattening the seas for us. 😉
hope disembarkation goes ok, we should be onboard in 5 hours (can’t believe I’m writing that).
I look forward to your reviewthanks again

We are also on the transatlantic next week. First time back with O after 4 years having thought the food was slipping. They look to have got themselves back in form and providing “the best cuisine at sea”.
really enjoying the food reviews including the criticisms, please keep it up👏👏👏👏👏 -
One glass of champagne (wifey,s favourite) is $16.50 plus 20%, the cost of the upgrade to the premium package. No brainer for us🍸🍷😀

Did one person eat the while 20 ounce steak? Did they have to be rolled away from the dinner table in a wheelbarrow? 😛
20 oz no problem. 32oz, now that’s a challenge 🤪

In the uk crabbies do a ginger flavoured beer (alcoholic) and a ginger wine, more of a liquor. Best alcoholic ginger beer for me is one called gingerbeard by Wychwood. Surprisingly enough I was thinking about the non alcoholic variety to mix with a bitter beer to make a shandy. Looks like jackdeb has the answer. Thanks. I look forward to a few dark and stormys too. 1 week to go🍸🍻🍷🍹
