Looking at Amtrak in December...no late night trips...$137.pp for the daytime trips. (one way)

The arrival on Friday is late evening, so the next morning departure time from MCO to FLL on the Amtrak arrives after the ship leaves, so that's a no-go for us on this trip.

I did find a FLIXBUS option for $160 total for the four of us, but the pick up locations are further west than our planned overnight stay.

Looking at one-way car rentals seems to be the option after reading your comments, thanks!

  2. Hello!  We are leaving in under three weeks to cruise out of Fort Lauderdale.  Due to the limited flights sold out from our home airport to FLL, we ended up going to MCO/Orlando. We arrive on 11/18 late evening to MCO with a cruise on 11/19 out of Port Everglade and PAT of 2 PM.

Has anyone used a specific company to transport their party from MCO to Fort Lauderdale?  We are a party of 4.  Looking to book same company/person for both ways.

  3. Forgive me as I don't use the hammock we have in a camping situation, just on a door frame bar at home.  We leave for the Allure this weekend, and I have a hammock with carabiners on each end.

Can someone show me how they actually hung these on the balcony, with a close up as well, please?  Are you saying that you used the pole above the partition on both sides?

I have been on four RCCL cruises with balcony and never once thought to bring the hammock and my kiddo loves it for sensory purposes. I am looking online for quick shipping/best outdoor/sporting goods store to pick up at before boarding.

Also, how long are your straps?

Anyone been to Anthony's Key Resort in Roatan and done the dolphin experience or Action Swim with them?  My son is 7 and I'm deeply saddened we can't do the Swim and Snorkel as you have to be 8 (already emailed AKR and asked).  Only the Experience or Diving is available through RCCL.

I'm wondering if we should try booking through the website direct as we also want to go to Manawakie Eco Park and visit a sloth there, as well as maybe squeeze a beach time in.

I contacted Anthony's Key Resort directly and they will allow us to book Action Swim direct with them.  We will need to arrange private party transportation for the rest of the day to visit Manawakie for sloth and snorkeling in perhaps West Bay area, undetermined on that right now.

With the different tour groups available, none list a dolphin experience in Roatan.

Help needed to locate working code(s) for Feb 2019 cruise. Trying to book excursions now and COSTSHRX not longer valid. TIA

You must go through the link Costco provides for the code to work. I just did this again last night for excursion in March.

Go to costcotravel . com and go all of the way down and click on Shore Excursions in the black box. It will load a new page for Excursions, then click on their link that takes you to Shore Excursions Group. You will see, I believe, v/a/Costco in the browser line and then the code can be applied at checkout.

  8. There are 13 of us going on Allure at the end of March this year for Western Caribbean: Nassau, Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatan.  Of those 13, three kids: 7, 11 and 13 have had no dolphin encounter/swim experience.

Which of the above ports would you choose to do an excursion at?  I have been looking at excursions between RCCL and third party sites for each port as well and it's getting overwhelming.

We currently have plans for all 13 of us to do a beach break in Cozumel, but willing to change as we have no plans at other ports set in stone.

    Thanks for any guidance!

Has anyone here done just a day pass for these things?  How did that work & what all was accessible?  If you schedule a treatment, is access to the aforementioned spa amenities included for the day, like at a lot of typical spas?

Also, I saw a post on another forum that suggested the spa shower area might be available to use without extra charge, and afforded some amenities without having to pay for the pass.  Has anyone attempted this on Allure to know if this is true?

I'm interested in the response on this as well.
