  1. Infinity and it's neighbor Tabyana will both be very busy...though it is all relative to what busy means to you.

I don't think Infinity rents chairs alone..one could email them to ask.

I saw loungers down by the wall the other day..part of Grand Roatan I think... that bar may be offer chairs.

Bananarama is the next property up the beach that offers loungers, they are $10..or were two weeks ago. Due to where Bananarama is the space is limited.

Course there are many places farther up the beach if you are willing to walk down to snorkel... some partners like to sorta keep each other in sight.

The beach is free, one could take a towel and plop about anywhere that is available though this year many of the resorts have signs up closer to their property saying it is for there guests only so one need worry about just how much of the sand is free and available. The other concerns is the sand fleas... they do love many people and there are whispers they truly enough salt encrusted skin.

In the end, no a day pass is not necessary but I would sure be more comfortable with one. :0)

Thank you so much, appreciate your valuable input along with everyone else's on this post. Now we have to figure out what is a great authentic place to dine while there..

  2. Thank you so much everyone for this very thorough and most insightful thread.

We will be coming on the NCL Dawn 3/26 and wanted to some up to date feedback if possible:

So far we have booked for a private driver with Victor Bodden during our port day so that transportation and related logistics wouldn't be a concern having our own driver. - my spouse said this is a waste to have a driver booked when all we will be doing is laying on the beach, but I figure it's good peace of mind to have a driver there waiting to meet our needs @$80 for the two of us.

Mainly the two of us are only interested in a beach day with some snorkeling for me as the spouse only loves tanning and frequent dips in the water.

My understanding is beach access is free in the West Bay area so I would like some feedback on whether paying for a day pass at one of the resorts is necessary? Are the beach fronts directly on a resort just limited to their guests or are they public so long as you don't use their chairs ? From pictures, we like to be on a beautiful beach with clear water and not filled with people..something like Infinity Bay Resort.

We don't really need a fresh water shower, etc. as we love to spend days end tanning and being in the water. We already have a driver at our disposal and figure we can ask them to take us any where in the area for food and dining, therefore is there any other perk to having a resort pass aside from beach chair and having access to their facilities? We have always been fine with laying on a beach towel all day long on a nice beach...

Many thanks as always for your input and thoughts..
