  1. I wondered about the difference myself! After reading the fine print multiple times, my only guess is that the 50% is off just the fare and the complementary one also deducts the 2nd person's taxes...maybe...not much of a difference any way I looked at it!!

As for sail dates, for the 40% & 50%, it's just off the ones shown when you click (72 of them last time I looked), and they're all in 2015. For the 35%, it's any sailing in 2015. I would assume as the year progresses they'll add some for next year, but who knows? Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! I play this game on both my account and my wife's account when I'm at work and we are both close to 500,000 LP's, so I think I will wait until we both get there and book a back to back for half price :)

  2. Pardon my ignorance on this, I may have missed this somewhere...

What is the difference between the 50% fare for 500,000 LPs and the Complimentary Companion Fare for 750,000 LPs? Isn't this basically the exact same thing?

And for these to work, it's only on the select sailings that show up when I click on the link on MyVegas? Or can these be applied to ANY new sailing in 2015? Ideally, I'd like to go Jan/Feb of 2016, I assume I will just have to wait?

    Thanks so much in advance!

    Alex

  3. If my wife will be gold on the first leg of our B2B and I will be gold on the 2nd leg, will it say so on our check in/boarding passes? As of now, both still say Red. Should I contact Carnival about hers? I'm not worried about mine, since I know I get that on the 2nd leg. Just want to make sure she gets the perks she should be.

  4. We love Anytime Dining. Gives us the most flexibility, and is really nice when you are in a port until 6pm, so you can have a bit more time in the port before getting ready for supper.

Plus we figure that we are on vacation, we should be able to eat whenever we feel, not when someone tells us we have to! ;)

  5. The Baths is on a whole other island.

When you get off the ship, you then find the local ferry dock about half-mile away from where your ship docks.

They go to/fro the other island.

    Plan ahead -and well. ;)

    .

Thanks. I knew that it's about a 25 minute ferry ride over to the Virgin Gorda and the Baths. I guess what I was wondering is where the ship docks in correspondence to where the ferries leave from.

I was looking at Speedy's ferry that goes out there.

  6. ok...you win the cold contest...and I don't want to try to beat you!!!! Yikes that is a tad chilly...stay inside...I want to meet you with all your fingers, toes and ears still attached!!!;) (where the heck are you??? I don't want to visit your piece of the world in the winter...heck...I don't even want to be in my piece of the world in winter...not often we ever get that cold)

I'm in Regina. Haven't gotten too, too much in terms of snow (maybe a few feet total so far), but WOW has it been COLD. It's usually not this bad until end of January.

  7. Do you like lots of pics? Of the ship, dinners, or ports?

Would you rather read a "port based" review or a "ship based" review? Or equally divided?

Do you want to know the name of the CD? Detailed info about the shows & entertainment?

Can a review be too long or too short? Just curious.

Personally, I like seeing a TON of pics. However, I am picky about them lol. I want to see more of the ports than the ship and the standard 8 Atrium pics everyone posts. I want to see the things you did that made your cruise fun. Pretty places you went to, excursions, just fun things that made your trip memorable.

Info about the CD, shows and stuff is a meh to me. Everyone has different standards of the entertainment they expect on the ships, so I take those with a grain of salt.

And for SURE a review can be both too long and too short. I don't care about the 3 pics of the kitchen in your hotel. If I did, I would ask in the appropriate Homeports forum.

Tell us what was good, what was bad and most importantly, just be honest. Tell a story, but not the whole story. There are times when less is more.

And I realize this may sound contradictory regarding my picture policy, but NEVER forget the food porn! ;)

All that being said, I think the most important thing is just to have fun with your review and provide an honest insight.

  8. Ok...a couple of questions:

    1. we're staying at the hotel with everyone...but coming in on the 30th. Are we having a pre-cruise dinner?? If so what time and where??

    2. Are we doing a door decorating contest for one or both legs of the cruise?? (although we didn't win...we....ok...I liked that last time)

    3. Is it time to pack yet????

    It's very cold here...I want to be someplace warm!!!!!! (-19C...which is -2F....-28C with windchill.... - 18F and snowing...oh joy!!)

Pfff that's nothing! It's -41C with the windchill right now here!

Looking at cost friendly options for excursions right now and looking at pictures of the ports makes me forget that I will probably get frostbite leaving work in a few hours!

  9. LOVED those ports.

We did the Natural Pool and off road excursion and it was a lot of fun! It kicked our butts!

Curacao is BEAUTIFUL. Every trip should include this port. We just got into the port area and found a driver to show us the island. He stopped at a Curacao distillery that gave free samples to us for 15 minutes. We sure earned our nap after that!

I feel that just going to a beach and not seeing anything in these ports would do a disservice to the islands. Absolutely beautiful places.

  10. Can't believe it's finally getting close enough to seem real!!!

Today we finally booked our flights...the hotel has been booked for awhile...now we are looking at excursions and getting excited!!!

We will volunteer to be a host room for the Poker Crawl - unfortunately no aft or forward wrap room for us...just a regular room.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait...I WANT A BEACH DAY...I've had more than enough of SNOW!!!!

For once, in Regina we can't really complain. We just started really getting our snow now. My brother-in-law in Edmonton just got back from a cruise on the Breeze last weekend. He left the day after the first big snowfall, so he picked the perfect time.

I'm just hoping when we leave it's gets to -50 outside for about 16 days! ;)

  11. I have decided to make a Photo Scavenger Hunt list for my family to do. I want us to get some really great fun pictures!!

Does anybody have any suggestions?? Don't be shy with your suggestions!! We are shameless!! And will do just about anything!!

(Last cruise we went on My Husband and I built a giant sand penis on the beach in Nassau!)

I'm said husband. It was more her that built it than me. I just provided more sand for her to use...
