Thanks for your trip report, it is very helpful. We will be cruising there in August 2022. I have a question about snorkeling. Do they provide the snorkeling equipment? If so is it satisfactory? Does it include a wet suit or did you bring you non?

In my opinion SB is raising the 2022 price because many of us have the 25% premium on our canceled cruises deposits/fares that must be used 2022 or forfeited. It will be interesting to see if these fares will sell.
-
We had multiple cruise reservations canceled by SB, every time they canceled the trip a couple of weeks before the final payment would be do. You might just wait until just before final payment to see if they cancel. There is no difference if you cancel a month before or a day before FP.
-
Though SB had told us that they would not start processing refunds for 10 to 12 weeks. We received our refund today about 2 weeks after our cancellation. We were very please with the response.

I agree this is an excellent sign for the future of SB. We hope to be able to start cruising again some time next year.

We were on a April 22 Venture, cruise that “was” postponed. SB said that we could keep the same cruise in 23, or get on one of the spring northern light cruise. We requested that we get on the list for the NL cruises. We were then told that we need to pay then $200 each to get on the NL list. We said thanks but no thanks we want to cancel our canceled trip. They said they are not accepting any cancellations at the time. Our deposit is $5,800, I will try a change back on my CC. I would be very careful in giving SB any more money. We have a Feb, New Zealand cruise that will most likely be cancelled and a August Alaska cruise that I was thinking of paying in full for the 10% discount, so much for that thought.

I have never traveled on SB in the America’s but when in Europe and Asia, it has always been Coke Light not Diet Coke. Which is not the same to a Diet Coke drinker.

Thanks for the additional replies. We will plan on taking the train then. It looks like there are two train stations in Greenock, does anyone remember the name of the station closest to the cruise terminal?
Thank you

Thanks Patnlcc, yes I understand that Greenock is a good distance from Glasgow. That is why I was wondering (hoping) that Seabourn would be providing a shuttle. If not, I guess we will have to take the train in, but that is always time consuming: get to the train station, then wait for a train, then maybe have to take one of the "local" trains with stops, etc. After some research, it looks like we tender at Newhaven for Edinburgh, so we will have to tender say for 20 minutes or so, but then we are supposed to be only a 10 minute taxi ride away from Edinburgh so that would seem like the way to go there.

I spoke with our travel agent a few days ago and they said to expect a release of cruises in the next few weeks

Does anyone have a guess as to when SB might release the Northern Europe cruises for 2020?
-
Thanks for the info. Hope to be able to cruise there in 20. We have not traveled very much in the old eastern block country and would like to.

What is the Polar Plunge and do all of the ship offer it. We are on Silver Cloud Explorer in February.

We have cruised with Seabourn before but never on the new ships. We have an OB guarantee, are there any rooms that we should be concerned with getting. The partial solid balcony rail would not be an issue.
