  1. If you purchase the cheers package why do they care if you give someone else your alcoholic beverage? You are limited to 15 per day regardless if you or someone else consumes the drink. My husband has gotten it in the past and got me drinks. Handed it right to me as soon as it was sat down. A couple of times the bartender just handed them to me. (We did some room swapping so I didn't have to purchase it because I do not drink very often) he would get our granddaughter milkshakes with it, she would te them what kind she wanted, they fix it, and hand it to her. One of our friends had his cut off for 4 hours after boarding back on in Grand Turk, he was very drunk. He knew he could not drink his 15 drinks for the day, he was mad because they cut his card off for the 4 hours, so as soon as it was cut back on, he went to a bar and every 5 minutes he got a beer and gave it away until he hit 15. The bartenders all knew and on that occasion security knew, they were watching him do it. No one said a word about it.

  2. The four Marriott hotels near the port are all close by, and the distance to the port is negligible, so don't worry about the distance.

The Marriot Marquis and Marriort Biscayne Bay would have the best views IMO. But that always depends on what room you get. The JW in Brickell will also be nice and have food views in some rooms, just none of the port. Obviously the courtyard is the cheapest option, with no water views, but it is a great location.

Location wise, the Biscayne Bay Marriort is probably the worst location of the four, but the closet to the port, but that's not important, all four are 5-8 mins from the port. The other three are great locations close to lots of options to walk to.

Sorry for all of the questions and thank you guys for helping me out with info.

So...I remember a Marriott near the port that I saw when coming back in. Is that the Biscayne Bay one? Is it between Bayside and the port? What's that one near?

Again, thank you for the info.

I would like to find something reasonably priced with a half way descent view of the Bay.

  3. I have read most of the posts on the first page here and haven't gotten a good answer. We will be leaving next Saturday for our cruise and would appreciate any updated advice about Bonaire.

Is there a nice beach, not rocky, with chairs and umbrellas available to go to? If so, do you know the prices?

Any good resorts, with beach area and pool area? If so, do you know the prices?

Has anyone rented the golf carts lately? Price, how many people they hold, are they good carts or more than likely going to break down carts?

Thank you in advance for any answers and advice.

  4. We had 2 drink charges within the first few hours after embarkation. My husband had had one drink, not two. It was too early in the cruise for us to have lost track of how many drinks were consumed!

Also, they were supposedly both Red Frog on tap, but had 2 different prices! Hmmm...

They removed the lower priced item, and it wasn't work the 35 cents or so to argue the point further.

If one was supposedly bought while still in port and the other bought after sailaway then they would be different prices because of tax in port.

  6. Thank you for your responses!! :) We are leaving ours in Miami at a hotel (free of charge) it is suppose to be a sec. parking area, during our 8 day cruise. I was wondering if anyone had done this in Miami before and if the car was still there when they got back and still in one piece. We did this when we saild out of Port Caneveral the last time and everyting was fine but I know that Miami is much different.
