You cannot book until the day you board. We booked for 3 nights on a 7 day cruise when we got on. The specialty restaurants are great, but the other restaurant is also fabulous, not buffet, fine dining.

Totally worth it for our last cruise to Italy. Scary bus ride up the mountain in Ravello, to a outdoor opera overlooking the village and ocean. Not much food served, just appetizers and wine, but beautifully plated and served. If you were hungry when you returned, they opened the buffet. We are cruising to Greece next year, looking forward to the Amazing Evening

We loved the balcony. Had all our breakfasts delivered to our room early, dined as ship was pulling into port. It was one of the highlights of our day.

Last year cruise to Italy, we booked in advance, then went to book some more, and they were closed out, so be prepared.
