  1. Hello - we are going by cab (Tuscanybytaxi) here are the details if you are interested:

, the price for one taxi (up to 8 passengers) for the Florence

    and

Pisa tour is approximately 360/400€ (taximeter).

Normally the waiting time is 3/4 hours in Florence and 1 hour in

    Pisa.

The payment is cash directly to the driver at the end of the day.

Starting from the ship we need about 1 hour drive to get to

Florence. Usually we make a first stop at the Michelangelo Square to

see the best view of the city. The next stop is at the Duomo area in

    the center of the city.

From Florence we need about 1 hour drive to go to Pisa. From Pisa we

come back to the ship in about 30 minutes drive.

Our drivers have a knowledge of english and spanish, but they are

    not touristic guides.

  2. We booked with Tuscanybytaxi - r/t transportation cost was €360 for minivan that seated 8. We split the cost among 8 of us through our roll call - worked out to €45 per person plus tip. Taxi will cost approximately €145 each way (1-3 passengers: http://www.airportcitytransfer.com/taxi-services/transfers-from-Livorno-Port-to-Florence-in-pisa.html).

Hi there, am planning on using them too. Was it a flat rate or did you use the meter?

  3. We were in Bermuda this week. We just missed the 930 ferry as we were a large group. We got tokens from the visitor info centre. Another person in our party who made the party paid with a 5.00 bill. We ended up taking the ferry to hamilton instead and from there we took a bus to the crystal caves and from there it was a short cab ride to St. George.

  4. Thank you that is reassuring! I just didn't want to have issues onboard like 2 of my friends whose UBP didn't show in their booking according to the ship and I had to call customer service in Miami on their behalf. I called NCL and my consultant was away and the rep spoke with confirmed what was on the online vacation summary which was wrong. I'm glad I have time to confirm just for my peace of mind.

  5. I fly to and from FLL because of substantial airfare difference between the 2 aiports and there are 5 of us. I usually rent a car then drop it off Miami Aiport then take the rental car company's free shuttle to the port. Going back its the same thing we take the shuttle to Miami Airport then rent a car and drive to FLL. If cost was not a concern Miami airport is more convenient.

  6. it is true you would lose some of your deposit depending on when you made it to foreign currency exhange transaction fees and foreign exchange differences. in my case I made my deposit in Oct. when the Cdn dollar was still almost at par with the US so the difference was negligible. I still end up gaining as there are 5 of us and now I just have to pay in Cad instead of US and they made the booking at par. I used to worry about the exhange rate in May when my final payment wasdue

  7. I booked thru a US NCL agent with my sisters who are American citizens and my booking was in US dollars. I cancelled as I found out Norwegian's rates thru a travel agent here were at par. Before I could book thru a TA our PCC called me and rebooked everything with the Canadian dollar at par. We got our original deposit back in 3-4 days. Now when I log in ny NCL acct my invoice and gratuities are in CAD.
