  1. The Capt was so funny, the food terrific, we felt very safe and we had amazing entertainment.  The staff was amazing.   All true.  But whats right is right… refund the money you promised in the time frame you stated.   Yes if u want to send me the $167.00 Ill take it as well.

Many other cruise lines have had to refund money.  I have used 2 other lines myself  both had to refund us due too changes they made.  Not once did I have to call weekly only to be told…..Oh the refund never went thru we will have to enter it manually .  Nor did I wait more then 2 weeks…..to date my refund is 52 days from the date of notice of the money being refunded to me….sorry may not be important to one of u….but most surely is important to most of us in an industry that for sure has to make changes often…and we need to feel confident in our refunds being processed !

  2. The ship, staff , and cruise were  amazing.  Not one complaint.   My issues is Royals accounting Dept.  Because the cruise was shortened I was to receive a $167.00 refund.  The letter I received on 10/1 stated no later then 11/1.   It is 11/22.  I have not received my money, and just get as an answer we are behind in processing refunds due to covid.   I do not think as much as I enjoy Royal I will be booking until this issue is corrected. It really is a crying shame.

  3. I am a Diamond plus loyal Royal cruiser,  never have I been so ashamed of how Royal is handling refunds.  I was advised 10/1 that my Harmony cruise 10/31    Was shortened and I would receive a refund of 167.00 within 30 days.  Today is day 52.  I have called 3 weeks in a row only to be told Accounting is behind and they cant give me an answer as to when I will see MY money.   U will not be booking any more cruises until Royal does what they promise with refunds. I have 3 existing cruises I will be cancelling before 12/30 unless I get My funds returned and receive a call back as I requested from a corporate executive .  Anyone else with these issues?

  4. I had a cruise that was cancelled due to Covid.  I was given an opportunity to lift and shift it . That was very fair.  This meant all the cash off money I received on my previous cruise would be moved to the new cruise also reducing the cost to very little . I made sure I selected a cruise that  met all The requirements.  I selected a 10/21 cruise on the jewel  In Europe.  Low and behold this week I received a letter The jewel cruise ship has  now been moved for a select few months including mine and my cruise cancelled.  All the letter said Is I can rebook and get a $100 credit or cancel and get my $200 deposit back. The letter never spoke about lift and shift. I called and was told Because Royal cancelled the cruise for reasons other then Covid I can not lift and shift. All my certificate casino discounts are gone and now expired. Mind you we are talking about close to $3000.  Ok casino folks is this happening to you . This is totally unfair.

  5. My only reason for mentioning this is because I was frustrated and love to cruise and would feel awful if these cruise lines loose busness becuase of poor customer service. Was looking to see if anyone else had this experience. A troll are u kidding?  It was 3 1/2 hours but of course I didnt sit holding my phone lol.  My time is way to valuable. I put it on speaker and had it near by incase someone came to assist me while I went about my business. In the end I was finally able to make my deposit on a cruise I had on hold . For the record I love crusing...I also come to cruise critics to share info and learn valuable information from others. Have a great day and lets hope nine of us have to deal with that kind of service.

  6. Hi all , Joe and I have been on 3 translantic cruises and am a bit concerned about needing travel health insurance if we are sick..or have to go to a Dr. Or hospital or even be medivated or taken by ambulance...we have heard many here have annual ins.to cover this. Not thru the cruise line any information to point us in the right direction is appreciated. We head out in Dec to Barcelona and the canary islands and then next april to austrai,ia and new zealand and french polinesia .

Thanks in advance for the help
